In God’s perfect timing, though sooner than any could have imagined, Ms. Patsy Ruth Fulsom Rambo entered her eternal rest on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the age of 60. Born February 5, 1966, in Hugo, OK, she grew up in Valliant, OK and later made her home in Wright City, OK.
Patsy was a devoted Christian and lifelong, faithful member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, in Wright City. Her great faith shaped every part of her life. She was known for her caring spirit, servant’s heart, and her joy in sharing God’s love with others, especially passing her faith on to the next generation.
Patsy attended Kiamichi Technology Center and was a published poet who loved writing. She spent nearly ten years serving families through "SOS for Families" and was always willing to help anyone in need. She enjoyed fishing, camping, working in her yard, meeting new people, and spending time with those she loved.
Patsy was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Fulsom; her father, Curtis Fulsom; her birth mother, Verdie Mae Washington; her birth father, Lewis Washington; her sister, Margaret Washington; and her brothers, Leif Washington and Lewis Washington, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: David Johnson of Wright City, Oklahoma, and fiancée Kelli Battiest; Darrien Rambo and wife Candice Rambo of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; and Janetta Collins and husband Athaniel Collins of Skiatook, Oklahoma.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, including Shakira “Doll Baby” Turner, Jaxon Hammock, and Milly Watkins; her siblings Wanda, Thelma Reed, Jerry, Eddie, and Thelma Cooks, Mattie Henderson, Ora Foster, Freddie, James, Perry, David, Steven and Wanda; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family, and many dear friends.
On Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM, family & friends will gather at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist church for a time of remberance and reflection. The address is East 5th Street in Wright City, OK.
Funeral Service will be Friday, June 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM, also at the Oak Grove church. Preceding the service at the church will be a viewing from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, for a final glimpse.
Patsy leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, service, and love that touched everyone she met. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
