Colonial Acres Nursing Home and Assisted Living

On July 24, 2026, Colonial Acres of Humboldt was awarded $113,000.00 grant for a new wanderguard/security system. This advanced system adds to our security and safety of our residents and staff. Installation of the new system is scheduled to be concluded by October 1st.

Our residents received their lunches in fun and decorative “lunch boxes” for “Back to School” week. A big thank you to the staff for taking the time to be creative for our residents.

Residents and staff would like to give a big Thank You to John Wherry for donating 4 boxes of peaches. We've had sliced peaches with soft serve icecream, peach crisp and made pies for another day.

Activities is looking for some volunteers to do quarter bingo on Saturdays. To get set up, you would need to be here at 1:30 so residents can pick bingo cards and get bingo chips, then bingo starts at 2 and lasts just a little over an hour. Contact Bonnie at 402-862-3123 or text 402-853-2188.

We are so thankful for our new lift to stand! We conducted a fundraiser and so many people turned out to help us. The new lift arrived on June 29th. We sold over 60 dozen kolaches. We will be conducting another kolache fundraiser in the fall.
