🔥 THIS HEAT IS NO JOKE!

With heat indexes expected to climb above 100 degrees throughout the week, please take precautions to protect yourself and your family.

💧 Drink plenty of water, even before you feel thirsty.
☀️ Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day.
🌳 Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
👕 Wear lightweight, loose-fitting, light-colored clothing.
🧴 Use sunscreen and reapply it regularly.
👵 Check on older relatives, neighbors and anyone without reliable air conditioning.
🚗 Never leave children or pets inside a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.

Watch for signs of heat exhaustion, including dizziness, heavy sweating, nausea, weakness or unusual thirst. Move to a cooler place, loosen clothing and sip cool water.

Confusion, fainting or loss of consciousness may indicate heat stroke. Call 911 immediately.
