Ready, Set, Holidays! starts now at HealthPro Heritage.

From September through December, our therapy teams are helping residents build the strength, steadiness, and confidence to take part in the season ahead — starting with fall prevention in September.

We’ll be sharing practical ideas and real moments from our communities along the way.

Because being ready for the holidays means being ready to take part in them.

This past week our team got to spend the day with Sunrise Senior Living's Chicagoland leadership team at their "Summer of Sunrise" baseball event.

Amanda Gosnell, their Regional Director of Operations for the Chicagoland region, shared: "It is a joy to have a therapy partner that feels like part of our team."

We couldn't agree more. 😀

Thank you, Amanda and the whole Sunrise team, for having us and for letting us continue to serve your communities.

The results of our Exer AI partnership for fall prevention has been incredibly exciting to see, with one community reporting 76% of residents showed improved gait speed.

Check out this video to hear firsthand the impact we're making together. ▶️

A fall can change more than mobility. It can affect confidence, independence and the way someone moves through each day.

That’s why seeing changes early matters.

Through our partnership with ExerAI, our therapists can use a standard iPad to better understand changes in gait and balance. There are no sensors or wearables, and the technology does not replace the therapist’s judgment. It gives the therapist another source of information to understand risk, guide care and track progress.

For residents, that can mean support begins before a fall changes what they are able or willing to do.

What changes have you seen help residents feel more confident and steady on their feet?

A resident had one goal: dance at her granddaughter’s wedding.

Not walk to the mailbox. Not get through the day without pain. Dance.

Our therapists built a plan around that goal and they didn’t stop until she got there.

(🥲We’re not crying…you’re crying.)

This is what goal-directed therapy looks like. The clinical work matters. So does knowing what your patient is actually working toward.

Proud of this team and the outcomes they help our patients achieve.

As we finish out our 7 Dimensions of Wellness series, Week 7 highlights a dimension that is essential to engagement, communication, and independence: Intellectual Wellness.

Intellectual wellness is about more than keeping the mind busy, it’s about supporting cognition, fostering curiosity, and creating meaningful ways for residents to process, communicate, and engage with the world around them.

At HealthPRO Heritage, we bring this to life through our Ageless Abilities program, an approach that focuses on understanding the key components of cognition each resident has, and using that insight to build effective communication strategies and meaningful engagement opportunities. By meeting residents where they are cognitively, we can better support participation, connection, and success.

Through this program, residents have opportunities to:
- Engage in activities tailored to their cognitive strengths
- Improve communication through individualized strategies
- Participate in meaningful, success-driven experiences
- Stay curious, connected, and mentally engaged

When intellectual wellness is prioritized, we often see:
- Improved communication and participation
- Reduced frustration and behavioral challenges
- Increased confidence and sense of accomplishment
- Stronger overall engagement in daily life

As we continue our 7 Dimensions of Wellness series, Week 6 highlights a deeply personal and grounding dimension of well-being: Spiritual Wellness!

Spiritual wellness is about more than religion, it’s about finding meaning, connection, and inner peace. In senior care, this can take many forms, from reflection and mindfulness to movement and moments of stillness that help residents reconnect with themselves and the world around them.

At HealthPRO Heritage, we support this through our wellness classes such as Unwind and Align, Flow and Restore, Seated Serenity, and Active Imagination; each designed to promote relaxation, presence, and mind-body connection. These experiences create intentional space for residents to slow down, reflect, and engage in ways that nurture both emotional and spiritual well-being.

Through these offerings, residents have opportunities to:
- Reduce stress and promote relaxation
- Engage in mindfulness and guided reflection
- Strengthen the connection between mind and body
- Experience a sense of calm, purpose, and renewal

When spiritual wellness is prioritized, we often see:
- Improved mood and emotional balance
- Increased sense of peace and resilience
- Enhanced overall well-being and life satisfaction
- A more centered and connected community environment

If you’re a current HealthPRO Heritage partner and would like to learn more about incorporating these wellness classes into your community, please reach out to your rep. May is National Speech-Language-Hearing Month — a time to raise awareness around communication, the impact it has on everyday life, and the incredible professionals who help individuals find their voice.

From early intervention to lifelong support, speech-language pathologists and audiologists play a vital role in improving connection, confidence, and quality of life.

We’re proud to celebrate the meaningful work happening every day and the lives being changed through communication.

We were so excited to celebrate the grand reveal at the Roosevelt at Salt Creek after months of renovation!

One of the most meaningful additions is Baldwin Court, our brand-new therapy space in the lower level. For the first time, we now have a dedicated outpatient therapy gym, creating even more opportunities to serve residents and the surrounding community.

The updates don’t stop there. The new Wellness Center fitness space is now home to four Silver Sneakers classes each week, helping promote active, healthy lifestyles for all.

We are so proud to be part of a partnership that continues to invest in better care, stronger communities, and enhanced experiences.

As we continue our 7 Dimensions of Wellness series, Week 5 highlights a dimension that shapes every resident experience—often without being seen: Environmental Wellness.

Environmental wellness is about more than physical space—it’s about creating environments that promote safety, comfort, independence, and dignity. In senior living, the design of a space directly impacts how residents move, engage, and feel within their community.

At HealthPRO Heritage, we bring this to life through our Designing for Dignity program—an evidence-informed approach to optimizing environments for function, engagement, and quality of life. By evaluating layout, lighting, sensory input, and overall flow, we help communities create spaces that are not only beautiful, but purposeful.

Through this initiative, communities can:
- Support independence and safe mobility
- Reduce confusion and behavioral distress—especially in memory care
- Create calming, engaging, and resident-centered environments
- Enhance dignity through thoughtful, home-like design
When environments are intentionally designed, we often see:
- Reduced fall risk and improved safety
- Increased engagement and participation
- Decreased behavioral symptoms
- A more welcoming and supportive community culture
