Mother The Mother NJ

Mother The Mother NJ Certified Postpartum Doula Hey there! First and foremost, I am a wife and a Mama! I have 2 little boys, 5&2. We live in NJ with our playful puppy, Nico!

When my oldest was born, I didn't realize how much postpartum would rock me, shape me, and change me. I don't say this to scare you, but rather to let you know how much I genuinely understand. It is a wonderful journey, but it can be life altering, and I want to help!

I have always had a passion for helping others. It wasn't until I became a mom that I realized how important supporting the new m

other (the seasoned mother, or the entire family) as they shift their world with this new season of life.... a beautiful baby to love. I hope I can bring you support, calm moments, comfort, validation, and most importantly, SLEEP!!

Looking forward to meeting you! XOXO,
Lauren

She reached for his hand and my heart sank. It was such a small gesture, but to me, it said so much. I heard ‘thank you for seeing me. Thann you for hearing me. Thank you for standing beside me when I could not stand for myself.’

This is what it means to stand alongside a postpartum mother.

Not to judge her.
Not to reduce her to the worst thing that happened.
Not to look away when her story is difficult to hear.

But to see the mother underneath the crisis. To listen. To believe that her experience matters. To advocate for her when she may not have the words or strength to advocate for herself.

I believe so deeply in standing beside mothers… especially when their stories are complicated, uncomfortable, or difficult for the world to understand. ❤️ Mother The Mother NJ

Postpartum ends when she says it does.

Not when the calendar says six weeks.
Not when everyone stops asking how the baby is doing.
Not when she “looks like herself again.”

Postpartum is a season of becoming, recovering, adjusting, healing, and finding yourself again.

There is no universal timeline for becoming a mother, and there shouldn’t be a universal timeline for finding your way through it.

Her postpartum. Her body. Her mind. Her timeline. ❤️ Mother The Mother NJ

You spend so much of pregnancy preparing for the baby.

But who is preparing to take care of you?

The meals. The laundry. The dishes. The little things that suddenly feel so overwhelming when you’re five weeks postpartum.

You’re recovering. You’re feeding a baby. You’re learning this new version of yourself.

You deserve to be cared for in the middle of all of it.

That’s postpartum support. That’s mothering the mother. ❤️ Mother The Mother NJ

Because a referral isn’t the same thing as care. A prescription isn’t the same thing as care. And telling a mother to seek help isn’t the same thing as making sure she actually receives it.

Three children lost their lives. A mother was begging for help.

How many mothers are currently falling through these same cracks? We have to do better for postpartum mothers. ❤️ Mother The Mother NJ

Lindsay Clancy will never see your comments.

But the mothers who are suffering in silence will.

Your friends. Your sisters. Your daughters. Your coworkers. The mother sitting next to you who keeps saying she’s “fine.”

They’re watching how we talk about postpartum mental health.

So let’s choose compassion.
Let’s choose education over judgment.
Let’s make it safer for a mother to say, “I’m not okay.”

Because the conversation we have about one mother might be the reason another mother finally asks for help. ❤️ Mother The Mother NJ

I hope this case changes more than a verdict. I hope it changes how we talk about maternal mental health. I hope it changes how we respond when a mother says, “I’m not okay.” And I hope it reminds every parent that asking for help is an act of strength, not something to be ashamed of.

If this post resonates with you, please share it. The more we normalize these conversations, the more changes we can make!!! ❤️ Mother The Mother NJ

Happy Fourth of July. ❤️🤍💙

My hope is for an America where every person feels safe, valued, respected, and truly equal… regardless of who they are, who they love, where they come from, or what they believe.

I love this country enough to celebrate it and enough to hope for more.

More kindness.
More compassion.
More equality.
More freedom.
More belonging.

Here’s to continuing to build a nation where every person, every family, and every community is seen, valued, supported, and treated with dignity.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Fourth of July. ❤️
