⭐ Starry Night is TOMORROW! ⚾️💜

Trauma Therapy of the Carolinas is excited to join the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers tomorrow night at Atrium Health Ballpark for Starry Night!

We’ll have a table at the game, so make sure you stop by and say hello. Our team will be there to talk about trauma, emotional health, and the importance of supporting children and families through difficult experiences.

Starry Night is especially meaningful as our community comes together to support children and families affected by pediatric brain tumors. We’re honored to be a small part of such an important evening.

We’re excited to be part of Starry Night at Atrium Health Ballpark with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers on Saturday, August 15! 💜

Starry Night is an evening dedicated to raising awareness and support for children and families affected by pediatric brain tumors. For families facing serious illness, the impact reaches far beyond medical care. Fear, uncertainty, grief, stress, and difficult experiences can affect children, parents, siblings, and the family as a whole.

Trauma Therapy of the Carolinas will have a table at the game, and we’d love for you to stop by. Our team will be there to talk about trauma, emotional health, and the ways children and families can be supported through some of life’s most difficult experiences.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to join the Cannon Ballers and our community for such a meaningful night.

“You cannot exit the maze by giving up. No matter how confusing or frustrating it is, you must get through it. This is resilience. But resilience is not simply plowing your way forward. It requires strategy. Understanding. Grace.”

In a world of extremes, it is easy to think about things in terms of one or the other. Bad and good. Right and wrong. But life is not made up purely of extremes. 99% of life exists in the gray zone. Every situation has i...

“No matter what your trauma looks like, it is not impossible to heal from. You are not Sisyphus pushing the boulder. You are moving forward. Therapy allows you to keep going. It is your support. Your therapist ensures you do not fight this battle alone.”

We live in tumultuous times. Political turmoil, economic strife, and international conflict take up our attention. But even more mundane things like car accidents, work stress, and family drama can cause immense stress. ...

“Change is scary. It is complex and unpredictable. When you have experienced trauma, it feels like yet another opportunity to get hurt. Trauma itself is complex. It is natural to want a simple answer, an easy person to blame. Unfortunately, that is not the reality with the mother wound…”

“While Dr. Gary Chapman famously lays out 5 love languages, which are the ways we give and receive love, each one can take a unique turn after trauma…”

When you experience trauma, love is often the first thing affected. It might even be the source of the trauma itself. Abusive relationships twist what love looks like, abusers using their own definition of love to contro...

No two people heal the same way. Therapy shouldn’t look the same for everyone, either.

That’s why Gloria takes an individualized, trauma-informed approach to care. She works collaboratively with clients to understand the experiences that shaped their struggles while helping them build practical tools for meaningful, lasting change.

Drawing from evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), IFS-informed therapy, Gestalt, somatic interventions, Polyvagal-informed strategies, ACT, DBT, CBT, mindfulness, and other experiential techniques, Gloria tailors therapy to each person’s unique goals and needs.

Whether someone is processing trauma, managing anxiety, navigating life transitions, or working toward personal growth, Gloria provides a respectful, supportive space where healing can move forward at a pace that feels right for the individual.

Gloria is now accepting new clients at Trauma Therapy of the Carolinas.
