Hill Mortuary Service & Seminars

Hill Mortuary Service & Seminars Practicing, Presenting, and Promoting Professional Embalming and Restorative Art Services. John T. and Virginia. Fountain.

Hill Mortuary Service & Seminars is a professional embalming, restorative art, and mortuary science education service. First and foremost, we restore dignity to the dead and help families see their loved ones in a better way that's natural and peaceful with the highest quality of service possible partnering with funeral firms. Whether a person dies tragically or peacefully, we always advocate and

promote that a proper embalming will have the decedent look more natural and better than unembalmed. We also educate students, funeral homes, and the community on the beauty, betterment, and benefits of embalming and restorative art. Through in-person and online presentations, consulting, and hands-on training, this valuable and vital instruction is delivered to classrooms, community events, civic groups, funeral homes, association meetings, and conventions. Our passion is to continue to further this sacred practice by raising standards of care and education that inspires families to choose these services and funeral professionals to be better in serving families. Hill is the originator, owner, and operator of Hill Mortuary Service & Seminars. He is an Undertaker, licensed in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Washington D.C. He has earned many other titles in the funeral profession: Restorative Arts Specialist, Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP), Member of the British Institute of Embalming (MBIE), Funeral Service Education Instructor, Chaplain, Celebrant, and Certified Crematory Operator (CCO). He has assisted in over 40 firms with trade embalming and restorative art services. He works at James Funeral Home and Northlake Memorial Gardens in Huntersville, North Carolina practicing all the duties of an Undertaker. Whenever schedule allows, he trade embalms for Rouse Mortuary Service in Greenville, NC, the largest mortuary service in the state, where he has received much hands-on experience. He is also a Mortuary Science Instructor at Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, NC and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, GA in embalming and restorative art. He became a Restorative Arts Specialist by furthering his education in embalming and restorative arts under Vernie R. He has also received continued education in Anatomical Preservation and Dissection Theory. His story is featured in the September 2022 issue of Southern Calls Magazine. Just recently, many different group meetings, professional and public, have asked John to present on proper mortuary science body preparation. He has a passion not only to serve families during their most difficult time, but to instruct and inspire current and future funeral professionals to better themselves and succeed.
