A lot of what I do doesn’t make sense until I explain how everything is connected. That’s why my clients get bodywork and an anatomy lesson whether they asked for one or not. 😝

Because understanding the “why” behind your pain is just as important as treating it.

Origin: subscapular fossa of the scapula
Insertion: lesser tubercle of the humerus

Subscap manifests trigger points in cases of frozen shoulder. This muscle is one of the 4 rotator cuff muscles. The rotator cuff muscles are the Subscapularis, Infraspinatus, Teres Minor and the Supraspinatus.

One thing we take pride in at Resilience is being able to read the room just as much as we read the body. Sometimes we can tell our clients need the quiet… but aren’t quite sure how to shut it off long enough to fully unwind.

So here’s your reminder that it’s completely okay to ask for a silent appointment. You can even add it into your booking notes ahead of time so we already know before your session begins. 🤍

As much as we truly love catching up and hearing what’s going on in your world, sometimes your nervous system needs quiet reset time more than conversation, and that’s okay. We can always catch up at the next one 😉

This goes both ways, too. If we feel like you’d benefit from a softer, quieter session, we may gently suggest it. Sometimes less talking and less stimulation allows the body to relax deeper and respond better to the work.

And one more thing… the music is YOUR choice too. If you’re not vibing with our playlist, say something! It’s as simple as asking Google to change it. Your session should feel comfortable, calming, and tailored to YOU from start to finish.
