Poor posture doesn't happen overnight — and it doesn't get corrected in one session either, but massage can absolutely be part of the solution.
Years of sitting, screen time, and repetitive movement patterns create chronic tightness in some muscle groups and weakness or lengthening in others — think tight chest and hip flexors paired with weak, overstretched upper back and glutes. This imbalance is what pulls the body out of alignment over time.
Massage helps by releasing the chronically tight, shortened muscles that are pulling the skeleton out of its natural position. Working through the fascia and musculature — especially around the chest, shoulders, hips, and spine — can create the space needed for the body to start finding a more neutral, balanced posture again.
It's important to set expectations here: massage supports structural realignment, but it works best paired with strengthening exercises, awareness of daily habits, and sometimes complementary care. Think of it as loosening the ropes that are holding the body in a pattern, so real change has room to happen. 🧍♀️
