She can run a company.
She can't sit through a Sunday.
I hear a version of this every week from six-figure women leaders:
“I can handle any crisis. What I can't handle is stillness.”
The tension in the jaw and shoulders that never fully leaves. The 2 a.m. wake-ups with a racing mind. The vacation where you answered email from the beach — relieved to have something to do.
None of that is a character flaw.
It's a nervous system running a survival program that never got the memo that the war is over.
You can't out-schedule it. You can't out-think it.
It lives in the body, so the body is where the work happens.
What's the longest you've truly switched off this year?
