Congratulations to Madison Jarrell, RN, recipient of Cabell Huntington Hospital’s 1st Quarter 2026 Good Catch Award! 💚

Madison’s quick thinking, attention to detail and commitment to patient safety helped prevent the wrong patient from undergoing an incorrect procedure during an urgent stroke intervention call.

After reviewing the patient’s chart and imaging, Madison recognized that the patient being prepared for transport was not the correct stroke patient. She immediately stopped the transport process and worked to identify the correct patient in the Emergency Department for the time-sensitive intervention.

Her actions reflect the importance of teamwork, communication and patient advocacy in delivering safe, high-quality care every day.
