The goal of a Nervous System Reset intensive is not to make anxiety disappear.

It is to understand what is happening well enough that anxiety no longer feels like something you have to fear.

Working intensively allows us to really take the time to slow things down and get more specific.

What does your body feel like when you need calm?

How is that different from needing grounding?

Are you anxious or are you exhausted?

Do you need connection or do you need support?

Do you need to settle or do you need movement and energy?

A lot of people already have plenty of coping tools. The harder part is knowing which one to reach for and when.

This is where intensive therapy can be especially helpful. We have enough uninterrupted space to move beyond collecting strategies and begin developing a deeper understanding of your own nervous system.

The goal becomes less:

“How do I make this feeling stop?”

And more:

“What do I need right now, and can I trust myself to respond?”

That kind of self-trust can change much more than anxiety. It can create more capacity for relationships, work, creativity, rest, and simply being present for your life.

I’m currently offering individualized psychotherapy intensives through LiveWell Counseling & Wellness. If you’re curious about whether this format might be a good fit, you’re welcome to reach out.

I’m preparing for part two of a Nervous System Reset Intensive tomorrow. This has become one of my favorite ways to work.

Therapy intensives offer something that can be hard to create in a weekly rhythm: time.

Time to move beyond talking about the pattern and into deeper processing.
Time to follow what’s emerging.
Time to work with the nervous system, the body, and the places where insight alone hasn’t created change.

I weave together EMDR, somatic and nervous system work, mindfulness, breath, movement, and other tools depending on what each person needs.

Intensives can be especially helpful when you understand why you feel the way you do but you’re still stuck there.

If you’ve been curious about deeper, more focused therapeutic work, I offer complimentary consultations to explore whether an intensive might be a good fit.

The music is what draws me in. But some of my favorite concert moments happen when I notice someone else around me completely immersed in it too.

There’s something profoundly moving about witnessing another person’s joy. It mirrors and deepens my own.

Maybe that’s why experiences like concerts and dance floors stay with us long after they’re over. We don’t just enjoy them individually. We experience something together. Joy, awe, and connection become contagious.

Sociologist Émile Durkheim called this collective effervescence. I simply call it one of the most beautiful parts of being human together.
