✨Midwife Monday is back! ✨

Please join us in welcoming the newest member of our team, Rachel Cohen, CNM! 💜

Rachel’s path to midwifery began with the births of her own children. That transformative experience inspired her to become a birth doula and ultimately led her to pursue nursing at Lehman College, followed by a Master’s degree in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University.

After gaining experience in busy hospital settings and a group homebirth practice, Rachel is excited to join the Huntington Midwifery team. She views birth as a natural, physiologic process that flourishes in a safe, calm, and supportive environment, and she is passionate about bringing some of that community birth energy into the hospital setting.

When she isn’t attending births, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband and six children, listening to podcasts, getting lost in a good book, or working out at the gym.

Rachel is proud to serve the community in English, German, and Hebrew.

We are thrilled to have Rachel on our team and can’t wait for our patients to get to know her!

This year brings a rare alignment as the Lunar New Year and Ramadan begin at the same time — two traditions rooted in the lunar cycle and centered on reflection, family, generosity, and new beginnings.

For centuries, women’s health, fertility, pregnancy, and birth have been closely connected to the rhythms of the moon. As midwives, we feel especially connected to this shared season of renewal, hope, and fresh starts.
