You said after Labor Day. Well… it is after Labor Day. All summer, the starting line kept moving.
“Once summer gets here, there’s just too much going on.”
Then it was…
After the 4th.
After vacation.
Once the kids go back to school.
Once we get back into a routine.
Let’s just finish out summer.
So… after Labor Day.
And now here we are….The turning point.
Because the next thing coming is Halloween.
Then Thanksgiving.
Then Christmas.
And if we’re not careful, “after Labor Day” quietly becomes “after the holidays.”
You don’t need a perfect 12 weeks ahead of you.
You need to decide that your health gets to matter even when life is happening.
That you’re tired of feeling uncomfortable in your clothes.
Tired of waking up exhausted.
Tired of eating “pretty healthy” and wondering why nothing changes.
Tired of promising yourself that next Monday will be different.
Summer didn’t ruin anything.
But you also don’t have to carry the way you feel right now into another season.
Tomorrow can just be another day.
Or it can be the day you finally stop moving the starting line.
