Darrell Zachary Napolitano, 22, of Huntsville; passed away Friday, August 28, 2026, at home. He was born Monday, February 9, 2004, at Majuro, Marshall Islands; to Jesse Gennaro and Ramona Isaiah Napolitano.

Darrell was a graduate of Huntsville High School and worked in the maintenance department at Butterball. He was a hardworking person who always gave his best and put his whole heart into everything he did. Darrell had a big heart, especially when it came to animals and the people he loved. He was a caring brother, a loyal and amazing friend, and someone who always put others before himself. He had a great sense of humor and could bring laughter to those around him. He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. Above all, Darrell was a loving father to his daughter, Anita, who meant the world to him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his sense of humor, his love for others, and the many lives he touched along the way.

Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Napolitano; his grandfather, Gennaro Napolitano; and his great-grandfather, Darrell Napolitano.

He is survived by his wife, Evandjelika Welsin, and his daughter, Anita Napolitano, both of the home; his mother, Ramona Napolitano, of Huntsville; three sisters, Lula Napolitano, of Huntsville; Rana Clement, of Huntsville; and Roselena Napolitano, of Columbus, Ohio; and one brother, Joel Esli, of Huntsville.

Lee Wesley Rogers, 87, of Clifty; passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026, at his home. He was born Wednesday, February 8, 1939, at Japton; to Joseph Lee and Virgie Flossie Combs Rogers.

Lee married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Pitts, on Thursday, January 12, 1956, in Miami, Oklahoma. Together, they shared 66 loving years of marriage and were blessed with three children.

Lee was a devoted farmer and a member of Valley Lighthouse Church, where he found great joy and fellowship. He had a special love for horses and enjoyed breaking and training them and attending horse sales. He also enjoyed pitching horseshoes, playing cards, and was known for being someone who could fix just about anything.

Above all, Lee cherished his family and his faith. He loved going to church and spending time with his beloved wife, Barbara. His hardworking spirit, gentle nature, and many talents will be lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Rogers; one son, Robert Rogers; his parents, Joseph and Virgie Rogers; and his siblings, Tommy, Fay, Jim, Orville, Earl, Mary, Leda, Velma, and Cleta.

Reta Louise Todd, 79, of Rogers; passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale. She was born Monday, June 16, 1947, at Mt. Vernon, Missouri; to Benjamin Franklin and Dortha Almeta Miller Alley.

Reta married Freddie Andrew Todd on Saturday, July 31, 1965, in Harrison, and together they shared a beautiful life and raised three children. She worked for many years as a press operator at Daisy Manufacturing and was a member of Green Forest Cowboy Church.

Reta was a hardworking and caring woman whose kindness and selflessness touched the lives of many. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family and always put their needs before her own. She found joy in the simple things, especially gardening, cooking, and making sure everyone around her was well fed and cared for. Her love, generosity, and warm spirit will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Reta was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Burson; her parents, Benjamin and Dortha Alley; one brother, Raymond Alley, and three sisters, Beatrice Guess, Edith Coatney, and Freta D**e.

Manuel Martin, affectionally known as “Weet” and Uncle Bucky, 57, of Elkins; passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026, at home. He was born Sunday, November 24, 1968, at Muskogee, Oklahoma; to Oliver Martin and Rosie Warrior Hutton.

Manuel was a 1987 graduate of Checotah High School and quickly entered into service with the United States Army. He served many tours including Operation Desert Storm. He was a devoted father to five children and worked for many years as an electrician, earning a reputation as a hardworking man who always kept his word. He could strike up a conversation with a stranger. He was the life of the party at every family function with his dancing and karaoke.

Above all, Manuel cherished his family. His children and grandchildren were the center of his life, and he took great pride in supporting them in all their endeavors. He especially enjoyed attending their sporting events and coaching them, creating cherished memories along the way. His love, dedication, and unwavering support for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Frankie Earl Vanhook, 77, of Huntsville; passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Washington Regional Medical Center, in Fayetteville. He was born Saturday, July 16, 1949, at Prairie Grove; to Densel Beman and Nettie Velma Marshall Vanhook.

Frankie married Rondalyn Dorsey on Friday, July 11, 1969, at Fort Polk, Louisiana; and together they built a loving home with their two children, Robert and Tonya. He worked for many years as a Loader Operator for APAC, formerly McClinton-Anchor.

Frankie was a simple, easygoing man who was happiest close to home and on his farm. He genuinely enjoyed the quiet life and took great pride in his farm. He loved hunting and fishing, but his two favorite things were working and riding his “David Brown” tractor. He was a very hard worker and always found something to tinker with around the farm. He especially enjoyed riding his tractor, checking on his cows, and putting out hay. There was no place he would rather be than on his farm, where he was truly at peace and happiest.

Frankie had a laid-back and gentle nature. He never caused anyone any trouble, never argued, and was always willing to go with the flow. He was content doing whatever those around him wanted to do and had a way of making everyone feel comfortable. He welcomed his in-laws, friends, and others into his life and made them feel like they were truly part of the family.

Buddy Wayne Gabbard, 83, of Elkins; passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville. He was born Friday, September 18, 1942, at Delaney; to Lester Coy and Gladys Louise Jarnagan Gabbard.

Buddy married Brenda Bryant on Tuesday, November 28, 1972, in Delaney, Arkansas. Together, they built a loving family.

Buddy worked as a painter for more than 30 years at the University of Arkansas Physical Plant and proudly served as a member of the United States Army Reserves.

He had a lifelong love of fast cars, a passion that began during his days of dirt track racing. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races on television, fishing, and anything to do with guns.

Above all, Buddy cherished his family, his friends, and his beloved dog, Sally. He had a wonderful gift for storytelling and loved sharing memories from throughout his life. If you were willing to sit down and listen, Buddy could talk for hours, bringing to life the people, places, and moments that meant so much to him. Those stories, told with his own special way, will remain treasured memories for all who had the privilege of hearing them.

To know our Dad is to love him. The most genuine and humble man to walk this earth, He would do anything for anyone and never ask or expect anything in return. Life won’t feel the same without you here, but the tracks you left behind will remain with us forever! In true Dad fashion, this is his last Irish Goodbye.

Melinda Michelle Smith, 74, of Huntsville; passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Circle of Life Hospice, in Springdale. She was born Tuesday, February 19, 1952, at Eureka Springs; to Delbert Clyde and Betty Lou Scates Clark.

Melinda married David Harold Smith on Saturday, April 19, 1975, in Forum, Arkansas. Together, they were blessed with two children, Clark and Shelly. She worked for many years as an Engineering Specialist at Ducommun, where she formed many lasting friendships.

Melinda enjoyed trips to the casinos and loved cooking for her family. She was especially known among family members for her Chicken and Dumplings and Cornbread Dressing. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and grandchildren, who brought her great joy and countless happy memories.
Melinda was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Betty Clark; one sister, Jeanine Hoskins; and two brothers, Mike Clark and Mitch Clark.

Betty Jean Winebrinner was born on May 16th, 1965, in Clinton, Oklahoma to Claude and Margie Osborn. In 1982 she married Joe Winebrinner who she built a beautiful family with.

Betty is preceded in death by both parents, Claude and Margie. She is survived by her children; Josh and Tamera Winebrinner, Bruce and Kandi Winebrinner, and Dustin Winebrinner. She is well loved by 6 granddaughters; Aliyah, Kenzy, Brianna, Zoey, Rayleigh, and Ember and 4 grandsons; Tayen, Mattyx, Carter, and Tobias. Betty is also survived by her beloved brother and sister, Michael Osborn and Stella Sharp.

Betty lived a very adventurous and interesting life. She worked extremely hard to obtain her RN degree with 12+ certifications beneath her belt and she took pride in serving her healthcare community as she proudly served for 25 years. She was an animal lover to the core and an incredible cook. She loved traveling and has been all across the country. Above all though, she was a great mother who adored her 3 sons and every extension of the family that the boys blessed her with.

Bobby Joe Fanning, 89, of Eureka Springs; passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Freeman Health System, Springdale. He was born Monday, December 14, 1936, at Urbanette; to Walter Earl and Waltza Fay Harviston Fanning.

Bobby married the love of his life, Lora Pauline Welkley, on Tuesday, June 10, 1958, in Springdale. Together they built a life centered on family, and love, and were blessed with two sons.

Bobby dedicated many years of service as a field representative for Tyson Foods. Outside of work, he found his greatest joy in the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying nature. He appreciated life's simple pleasures and especially looked forward to sharing Pauline's home-cooked meals, which were among his favorite comforts.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Waltza Fanning; one brother, Dean Fanning; and six sisters, Ann Corter, Daisy Laningham, Jean McCarty, Sue Moore, Doris Dowum, and Tommy Ball.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Fanning, of the home; two sons, Bobby Fanning, Jr. and Teresa Pruitt, of Bella Vista; and Ronnie Fanning, of Eureka Springs. Bobby is also survived by two grandchildren, Aidan Fanning, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; and Rani Finn and husband, Ben, of Fayetteville.
