Last week of Summer Camp Kindness at Sandusky Rec. Debbie had a hula yoga party for the yogalinis… Lais, skirts ,coconuts and pineapples too.

Thoughts from Mary: The Sanskrit word “yoga” is derived from the root “yuj” meaning “to yoke” or “to harness” (Feuerstein), or to join. Becoming one or whole is one of the aims of yoga. However, in this process of synthesizing the whole there is often a necessary step of analyzing the parts. In our asana practice that translates into noticing particular parts of the body, feeling the relationship, or absence thereof, between those parts, and then integrating that awareness to experience the asana as a whole. Join me this week as we direct our attention to our feet and hips in a few standing, sitting, and inverted poses - with the goal of feeling more united in our body/mind/self!

For the first time OWY is offering an American Yoga Council Level 1 certification for our 200 hour teacher training. This is a certification we are proud of.
