Our residents had an amazing time celebrating summer at our Beach Party! 🏖️ We enjoyed delicious snacks and refreshing drinks, tossed around a beach ball, got creative with seashell painting, and fun summer music. 🎨🏐🎶

More Than a Haircut: Why Our In-House Beauty Parlor Is One of the Most Important Amenities at The Haven

There’s a reason the phrase “looking good, feeling good” has endured for generations. Research consistently shows a strong link between personal appearance and emotional well-being, and this connection doesn’t diminish with age — if anything, it deepens. For seniors, having a neat hairstyle, tidy nails, or a fresh shave isn’t vanity. It’s identity. It’s dignity. It’s a connection to the person they’ve always been.

At The Haven, we believe that the small rituals of self-care — a wash and style, a manicure, a fresh trim — are not luxuries. They are part of what it means to live well. Our on-site beauty parlor was built with that belief at its heart, offering hair treatments, nail services, and full barber services for our male residents, all without ever having to leave the comfort of our community.

Today, our Senior Serving Our Community group from The Haven had a wonderful opportunity to give back! We delivered comfort bags and homemade cookies to our local fire department as a small token of appreciation for everything they do to keep our community safe.
The firefighters graciously welcomed us and even gave us a tour of the station. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed learning about the equipment, hearing about the firefighters' work, and spending time with these dedicated community heroes.
A heartfelt thank you to the firefighters for their hospitality and service. We are grateful for all that you do, and our residents loved every minute of the visit! ❤️🚒

Today at The Haven, we honored the brave heroes who gave their lives for our freedom. 🇺🇸 We enjoyed a special Memorial Day filled with friendship, gratitude, and remembrance. Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful holiday from all of us at The Haven. ❤️
