Live Free Family Chiropractic will have modified office hours on the following dates as Dr. Matlyn will be providing sports physicals during school enrollment events.
📅 Tuesday, July 29 – Office open 8:30 AM–12:30 PM (Closed in the afternoon)
📅 Monday, August 4 – Office Closed
📅 Tuesday, August 5 – Office open 2:30 PM–5:00 PM (Closed in the morning)

What to Expect at Your First Chiropractic Visit

Starting care with a new chiropractor can feel intimidating, but my goal is to make your visit comfortable, informative, and personalized.

At your first visit you can expect:

1. A conversation about your health history, current concerns, and goals.

2. A thorough chiropractic examination to help identify the source of your symptoms and determine the best course of care.

3. X-rays may be taken when appropriate to help guide your care and ensure treatment is safe and effective

4. An explanation of my findings and recommendations for care. I believe in helping patients understand their options and make informed decisions about their health.

5. When appropriate, an adjustment may be provided during your first visit. If x-rays are needed or there are any concerns, we may wait until the images are reviewed before adjusting. If you prefer to wait, that is always okay too.

I believe healthcare works best when patients feel heard, respected, and involved in the process. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and taking an active role in your care.

Meet the Doc

Hello! I'm Dr. Matlyn Harris, founder of Live Free Family Chiropractic.

I grew up just north of Hutchinson and I am excited to be serving the community that helped shape me. After attending Cleveland University-Kansas City to earn my Doctor of Chiropractic degree, I spent time practicing in Montana before returning home to open Live Free Family Chiropractic.

My passion for chiropractic care began as a teenager after a knee injury led to significant low back and sciatic pain. After struggling to find answers, chiropractic care finally provided the relief I needed. That experience inspired me to become a chiropractor and help others find the same hope and healing.

I especially enjoy caring for prenatal, postpartum, and pediatric patients, but I love helping individuals and families of all ages improve their health and quality of life. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered to take an active role in their healthcare.

When I'm not in the office, you can usually find me spending time with family, hiking, gardening, reading, or enjoying the outdoors.
