She’s postpartum. She came in today for a results and relaxation facial.
And what I built for her session today is something I want to share. 👇
When I started working with her skin I noticed it immediately — her skin was putting off a lot of heat. That’s a signal. The skin is the body’s largest sensory organ, densely connected to the nervous system, constantly sending and receiving signals. When the skin runs hot postpartum, it’s often the body communicating something about everything it’s managing underneath. Hormonal shifts. Circulatory changes. A nervous system that’s been through an enormous amount.
So I responded to what I found.
I added a sonic device on a chilling setting alongside sonic vibration — introducing coolness to change what the thermoreceptors were sending to the nervous system. Cool. Soothing. Calming. The sonic vibration supporting circulation and lymphatic movement at the same time. Two inputs. Same direction: settle, regulate, cool. 🌿
Then the full stack:
🔴 Red and near-infrared light therapy throughout — stimulating cellular energy production, supporting collagen, reducing inflammation, promoting tissue repair. And increasingly recognized for supporting parasympathetic nervous system activation. A nervous system snack built right into the light.
🎵 Vibroacoustic therapy throughout — the table’s transducers converting healing frequencies into full-body vibration, directly stimulating the vagus nerve, stacking inputs in the parasympathetic direction. For a postpartum nervous system running on disrupted sleep and constant attunement to a new baby — a full-body signal that says: it’s okay to settle.
✨ The facial treatment itself — skin restoration running alongside all of it. Skin and nervous system both getting what they need. At the same time.
To every postpartum mama — your nervous system is doing one of the most demanding things it will ever do. And it deserves inputs that say: you can rest now. 🤍
