Greetings from the Behavioral Health Provider Coalition of Cape Cod and the Islands! We hope that this post finds you all safe and well.

The challenges of the past year have put a significant strain on the capacity of the network of behavioral health providers across our region. As such, we felt it necessary to hibernate for a bit to ensure that the coalition member’s time commitments remained focused on those in need of immediate attention. The efforts of all the front line agencies we call our partners has been inspiring and we know that the collaborative efforts to address the pandemic have strengthened our bonds.

As we move into the Spring, Katie Everson (Co-Chair), Jessica Servidori (Coordinator) and I feel that it is time to renew our connection with you all and bring us together for our first meeting of 2021. We will be holding the meeting through a virtual platform on Monday April 26th from 3:30-4:30. As part of the meeting we will get an update from the Children’s Behavioral Health Workgroup, which has continued to meet and advocate for improved systems throughout the past year. Additionally, we hope to hear from our Coalition members on the great work that they are doing and any important changes to their agencies and services.

We would also like each of you to update the information on your agency in the Barnstable County Network of Care (NOC). The Network is a great resource for those looking for assistance in our region, and we want to ensure that all information is accurate. When the Coalition launched, populating the NOC was one of our first projects, so it’s only fitting that it be one of our first during “re-launch”.
You can update using the following steps:
Connect to the NOC at this link https://barnstable.ma.networkofcare.org/ph/index.aspx
Enter your agency’s name in the search function on the NOC home page
Click on the Agency’s name, which will bring you to the information page
If updates are needed, click the blue “Suggest Edits” box at the top right of the page, which will take you to another page for making the edits
Complete all edits and click “Submit” at the bottom of the page

Thanks for all of the wonderful care you have provided to the residents of Cape Cod and the Islands over the past year. We are excited to see you all again on April 26th!

*** if you are unable to attend and would like a recording of this meeting please reach out directly and we will send it to you.

Hey Everyone! May is Mental Health Awareness Month. During these uncertain and isolating times it is even more important that we continue to check in with friends, families, clients, and ourselves.

The Behavioral Health Provider Coalition of Cape Cod and the Islands was founded based on the need to come together to network, share stories, and offer mental health resources to those in need.

As we continue to stay connected while staying apart, we want to share some good news and supports in the community during the month of May! Please send us your stories to share via Facebook message or to the email: [email protected]

Lastly, as always, if you or someone you know is struggling or in need of behavioral health supports- please reach out so we can help or direct you to those who can.

Stay safe & stay healthy!

We are anticipating having four open seats this year. Please email me with any one you would like to nominate for the Steering Committee by December 5th.
