Have you ever wondered what your body size, your chronic illness, your disability, or your race has to do with your wellness?

For a long time, those parts of you might have felt like the reason wellness wasn't built for you. Something to manage before you could even begin. Or something used against you. The body you live in was never the problem.

Those same parts of you can actually be part of how you learn to tend to your needs, nourish your body, and build real body connection, exactly as you are.

Picture care that already knows how to hold the body you actually live in, cane and all. That is what weight-neutral, capacity-aware, inclusive wellness looks like when it is actually built with you in mind.

The Body Relationship® Method holds space for people with marginalized identities and people navigating chronic illness, who have spent years adapting themselves to fit spaces that asked them to arrive as someone else.

Redefining Wellness is a free, live conversation on September 17 at 8pm ET. I will share my perspective, tools, and resources, with real space for questions back and forth. It is live only, so being in the room is the way to catch it.
Come be in the room. Link in bio.

Have you ever caught yourself being harder on your body than anyone else has been?

The judgment from other people is easier to spot.
You feel it land.
You know it isn't yours.

What's harder to see are the rules you've been holding yourself to.
The rest you decided you hadn't earned.
The plans you pushed through when your body was already asking you to stop.
The way you apologize in your own head when you cancel.

Living with chronic illness brings all of that up to the surface. Your body changed what it can do, and the old rules stopped fitting.

Noticing that is real work, and it's where body connection starts. You see where the judgment is coming from, and you stop handing it back to yourself.

Some days that looks like lying down in the middle of the afternoon without explaining to yourself why you needed to. That counts as self-care. So does letting your body set the pace for the day.

What's one rule you've been holding yourself to that your body has already outgrown?

Do you remember when chronic illness changed the way you cared for and connected with your body?

It is PCOS/PMOS Awareness Month.
This month has always held a tender place for me. I was diagnosed at 17.

What I carry from that year is everything that came after it. My whole relationship with my body quietly rearranged itself while I was still trying to understand what was happening.

Before chronic illness, so much of body care just ran on default. You woke up, brushed your teeth, washed your face, got dressed, moved through your morning without doing math first.

Then something shifts.

And somewhere on the other side of that shift, you start making a decision, whether you ever say it out loud or not, about whether you are going to be at war with the body you live in.

I have been sitting with the memory and reality of that shift this month, and I would love to sit with it alongside you.

If you live with PCOS or PMOS, or with any chronic illness, come tell me. The diagnosis, or everything that came after it, or whatever part of it you want to share.

This work was built for people navigating chronic illness and marginalized identities, who have spent years adapting themselves to fit rooms that asked them to arrive as someone else. You do not have to do that here.

The full video is on YouTube. In the bio you will find the rest of what I have made, including weight-neutral, affirming resources for chronic illness.

Your body is constantly changing.
Not because you failed it.
Because you are alive.

Many people are taught that body peace will arrive once their body becomes predictable.
Once symptoms ease.
Once weight stabilizes.
Once they feel more like the version of themselves they remember.

But bodies are not designed to remain the same.

If you are living with chronic illness, navigating body image healing, or simply moving through different seasons of life, you already know this truth. Your body evolves.

Body peace begins when you stop waiting for your body to become stable enough to deserve care.

It begins when you allow yourself to live in relationship with change.
When your body shifts, your care can shift with it.

You can still experience joy.
You can still experience rest.
You can still experience softness and celebration right now.

The body you have today deserves your consideration.
Not comparison.
Not control.

This is the foundation of the Body Relationship® Method. Learning how to relate to your body with compassion, awareness, and respect as it moves through change.

If your body feels unfamiliar right now, you are not doing anything wrong.

You are learning how to meet yourself where you are.

Support for body image healing, chronic illness care, and inclusive wellness practices can be found through the resources linked in the bio whenever you are ready.

"My healthy" is not your healthy.
And your healthy is not mine.

That's a truth most wellness spaces never taught us to honor that.

Our bodies carry different histories, different capacities, different needs.

And still, so many conversations about health assume there's one right way to eat, one right way to move, one right way to exist in a body.

So many people end up feeling like they're failing that standard. A standard built for one kind of body was never going to hold every body.

The Body Relationship® Method offers a different starting point.

• A shift from comparison to connection.
• A shift from external rules to Body-Led Guidance.
• A shift from pressure to partnership with your body.

When you begin to understand your body on its own terms, you create space for care that's sustainable, personal, and actually yours.
Not perfect. Just aligned.

If you're ready to begin or deepen this work, you'll find supportive tools waiting through the link in bio.

Wellness isn’t something you PERFORM or PERFECT.

It is something you PRACTICE in relationship with your body.

Within the Body Relationship® Method, wellness is defined not by rigid standards but by how well a practice SUPPORTS your capacity, dignity, and long-term well-being.

What supports you will change as your body changes. A healing practice listens, adapts, and responds rather than forcing consistency or compliance. It prioritizes sustainability over appearance and trust over control.

If you have felt excluded, pressured, or unseen in traditional wellness spaces, your experience reflects systemic gaps, not personal failure.

Healing-centered approaches begin by honoring lived experience and responding to what your body actually needs.

Wellness is not a moment.
It is an ongoing conversation with your body

Are you trying to plan your life around a version of your body that doesn't exist right now?

The body you had before the diagnosis.
The one that could do more, move more, push through more. Or the one you're hoping to get back to, if you just try hard enough, rest enough, get it together enough.

In the meantime, the body you actually have today keeps getting skipped in the planning.

Capacity-aware living isn't about lowering your expectations for yourself. It's about finally including yourself in the picture.

When you stop planning around a hypothetical body and start working with the one you're living in right now, something shifts. Not because you've fixed anything. Because you've stopped waiting to begin.

Your body today carries capacity.
It may look different than last month.
It may surprise you by next season.
But right now, in this moment, there is something your body can do, something it needs, something it knows.

That information matters. It deserves to be the starting point.

What would it look like to plan just this week around the body you actually have today?

If you're ready to explore what that can feel like, visit the link in the bio for tools that meet you right where you are.

Have you ever made a decision about your body and immediately started preparing to defend yourself?

That's the pattern many of us learned, checking it twice, asking around, waiting for enough evidence before trusting yourself enough to move. If you live with chronic illness, a body that keeps changing, or a body other people always seem to have an opinion about, that habit runs even deeper.

There's a knowing in you already, and it has never needed you to prove anything first. That's body wisdom, and it's been here the whole time, holding steady even when wellness spaces were not built with your body in mind.

It can look like making a decision about your care and letting it be finished, without replaying it that night or defending it three days later. That's body connection. That's capacity-aware, weight-neutral care, felt from the inside instead of explained from the outside.

What might it feel like to make one decision about your care today and trust it without needing anyone else's permission first?
