Meet Ivy, one of the amazing providers who has been caring for women in our community for more than 15 years!

An Idaho Falls native, Ivy has dreamed of becoming a Physician Assistant since she was young. After earning her master's degree from Rocky Mountain College, she joined OB/GYN Associates of Idaho Falls in 2009. Her experience in both OB/GYN and family medicine allows her to provide compassionate, personalized care to every patient she meets.

Progress doesn't always look like a promotion, a marathon, or a perfectly clean house.

Sometimes it looks like getting out of bed.
Sometimes it looks like making the appointment you've been putting off.
Sometimes it looks like simply making it through the day.

If that's you today, give yourself some credit 💙

If there's one thing I wish every patient knew before their first gynecology appointment, it's this: there's nothing to be embarrassed about. 🤍

Here are five things I wish I knew before my first GYN visit:
✨ 1. You can ask questions.
No question is too small, awkward, or embarrassing. We've heard it before, and we're here to help—not judge.

✨ 2. Your appointment isn't always a pelvic exam.
Depending on your age, symptoms, and reason for your visit, you may not need one at all.

✨ 3. It's okay to be nervous.
Let us know how you're feeling. We can explain every step and go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

✨ 4. Honesty helps us care for you.
The more open you are about your symptoms, cycles, sexual health, or concerns, the better we can support you.

✨ 5. Your visit is about more than a yearly exam.
Your OB-GYN is here for periods, birth control, fertility, menopause, pelvic pain, hormone concerns, and so much more.

Your first visit doesn't have to be scary—it can be the beginning of feeling more confident about your health. 💗 link in bio to book

Your body changes over time. That's why regular checkups matter.

When you come in, we aren't just addressing today's concerns- we're building a health history that helps us recognize patterns, monitor changes, and provide better care in the future.

If you're wondering whether something is worth asking... it is.

Your body is always communicating with you. 💜
The symptoms you’ve been ignoring, the questions you’ve been afraid to ask, and the changes you’ve been told are “just normal” are all worth talking about.

Women’s healthcare should be more than treating a symptom—it should be about understanding you as a whole person.
You deserve to feel heard, supported, and cared for at every stage of life.

Known. Loved. Home. 💜

As an OB-GYN, one of the most important conversations I have with patients happens before they ever see a positive pregnancy test.

A preconception visit is your opportunity to prepare your body, ask questions, and make informed decisions before trying to conceive.

Here's what we'll talk about:

🤍 Your health history
We'll review your medical history, previous pregnancies, family history, and any health conditions that could affect pregnancy.

💊 Your medications & supplements
We'll discuss what's safe to continue, what may need to change, and when to start a prenatal vitamin with folic acid.

🩺 Lifestyle & overall wellness
Nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, vaccines, and habits all play a role in a healthy pregnancy.

🧬 Your fertility questions
Whether you're ready to start trying now or just planning ahead, we'll answer your questions and discuss what to expect.
Pregnancy doesn't begin with a positive test—it begins with preparation.
If growing your family is on your mind, scheduling a preconception visit is one of the best first steps you can take. 💗

Fertility isn't something most women are taught in detail—but understanding the facts can help you make informed decisions about your future. 🤍

While pregnancy is possible throughout the reproductive years, fertility naturally changes with age as both egg quantity and egg quality decline.

Here's what research generally shows about the chance of conceiving naturally within 12 months:
💕 Under 30: 85–90%
💕 Age 30–34: 80–85%
💕 Age 35–39: 70–75%
💕 Age 40: 45–55%
💕 Age 43–44: 10–20%
💕 Age 45+: Less than 5%

These numbers don't mean pregnancy isn't possible after 35 or 40—they simply mean that it may take longer, and seeking guidance sooner can be beneficial.
Wondering when it's time to talk to your OB-GYN?

Under 35: After 12 months of trying without pregnancy
Ages 35–39: After 6 months of trying
Age 40+: Consider an evaluation before trying or after 3 months of trying
Or sooner if you have irregular cycles, known reproductive conditions, recurrent pregnancy loss, or other fertility concerns.

Every fertility journey is unique. If you have questions about family planning or your reproductive health, we're here to help you understand your options and support you every step of the way.
