RISE UP Teen & Child Crisis Center of East Idaho The Idaho Falls Center - RISE UP - will be the first center of its kind to open in the state of Idaho.

RISE UP - Teen & Child Crisis Center of East Idaho is a free, 100 percent voluntary center that will serve all youth ages 12-17 and eventually ages 5-17. We are different from BHC and other hospitalization options as we are a stabilization, assessment, and referral center rather than a treatment center. The center will help provide immediate safety, assessment, referrals, and collaboration of serv

ices for Mental Health & Substance Use Disorders. Criteria for admittance will be a 'crisis' as defined by the family, school, individual, therapist, doctor, law enforcement, first responder, loved one, or community member. Ultimately our purpose is to assist in reducing the number of youth being sent to the ER for hospitalizations, being placed in the Juvenile Justice Detention Centers, or even jail. Our hope is that this center will provide opportunities for crisis stabilization, assessments and quicker access to services and treatment for youth in our schools, homes, and community.

"Therapy is about understanding the self that you are.

But part of getting to know yourself is to unknow yourself— to let go of the limiting stories you've told yourself about who you are so that you aren't trapped by them; so you can live your life, and not the story you've been telling yourself about your life."

🌞A summer safety plan can have a tremendous impact on a student’s mental health during the summer. Daily routines and structure are important for development as they create a sense of stability and allow children to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. The school environment provides this inherently during the year, but the structured environment disappears once summer begins.

Summer Safety Plan Essentials include:
Daily Schedule
Safe Places
Support Systems
Fun Activities
Identify Stressors
Knowing Warnings Signs
&
Coping Methods
