This month, we are proud to recognize our Physical Therapy Manager, Ashley, for 10 years of commitment to Chase County Community Hospital and Clinics.

When asked what moved her to become a physical therapist, Ashley shared that her passion for the profession began after experiencing a sports injury and the physical therapy experience she had during her recovery and rehab after surgery.

Drawn to rural healthcare and the opportunity to be close to family, Ashley found her healthcare home here at Chase County Community Hospital & Clinics.

From first PT appointments to successful recoveries, Ashley has made a lasting impact to our patients, our organization, and our communities. Help us congratulate Ashley for her 10-year employment anniversary.

Family and first responders. A family that answered the call to care.

For 16 years and counting, Gary and his daughters, Leanne and Melisa, have shared a unique family bond rooted in serving their community together through EMS.

What started as a simple family conversation turned into the three of them taking an EMS class together and beginning a journey that would grow into something more dynamic than the traditional father-daughter relationship. It became a shared passion for caring for others and serving their community during some of life's most critical moments.

Over the years, they've answer countless calls, working side-by-side when people have needed help most. When asked about the dynamic, Gary spoke not only as an EMS partner, but as a proud dad. He's had the privilege of working alongside them and watching them grow, seeing Leanne become the Wauneta EMS Squad Captain and Melisa serving as an EMT for both Wauneta EMS and Chase County Community Hospital.

Stories like this are a reminder of the good that surrounds us in this cozy corner of Nebraska — neighbors caring for neighbors, families serving together, and people stepping up to make a difference in the lives of others.

Chase County Community Hospital and Clinics is proud to work closely with the Wauneta EMS team and grateful to have Melisa, a member of this caring family, as part of our healthcare hospital team.
