🔬🌧️ **A LITTLE SCIENCE, A LOT OF FUN!** 🌋🧪

This month, we focused on a little **SCIENCE!** Our residents enjoyed hands-on experiments that encouraged curiosity, creativity, and plenty of conversation.

☁️ We created our own **rain clouds** and explored how rain forms and falls. We may have also ended up with a little food coloring on our hands along the way! 🌈😊

🌈 We made **lava lamps** and watched the colorful bubbles move and dance.

🌋 And, of course, we couldn’t have a science month without making a few **volcanoes!** We may have even “borrowed” some vinegar from the refrigerator to make them erupt! 😂🧪

It was a wonderful opportunity to learn, participate, experiment, and enjoy some hands-on science together. We love creating experiences that encourage our residents to explore, engage, and have fun! ❤️🔬

💕🎀 WELL, BLESS OUR HEARTS… TODAY WE DOLLIED OUT!🎀💕

When our sweet Katie told us she wanted to have a Celebration of Life for Dolly Parton, we said, Well, butter our biscuits and grab the pink!”💕😂

And honey… WE WENT ALL OUT!✨

Our building was PINK, PINK, and MORE PINK!🎀 Dolly’s music was playing all day long, and you could hear singing, laughter, and good ol’ Southern-style fun around every corner! 🎶💕

We put our Dolly knowledge to the test with Dolly Parton Trivia, then gathered around for a good old-fashioned pizza party with enough fruit to make Dolly herself proud! 🍕🍓🍇

And because every celebration needs a little sweetness… we had strawberry ice cream and fruit punch to top it all off! 🍦🥤

But let me tell you what really made our hearts happy… THE FAMILY WAS ALL IN!💕🙌 Staff, residents, and family jumped right into the fun. Pink outfits, big smiles, laughter, music, and memories were everywhere!

Katie, you asked for Dolly… and darlin’, you got DOLLY!🎀💗

Today wasn't just a celebration—it was a reminder that life is meant to be lived loudly, loved deeply, and celebrated with a whole lot of pink!

🎶 And if you’re wondering what we’ll be doing tomorrow… well, honey, we’ll be wondering how we’re going to top today!😂💕

🍌🍦 Omg… what a LATE post!😂 But this celebration was just too sweet not to share!

We celebrated National Banana Split Day with the residents, and let me tell you… those bananas smelled AMAZING, the toppings were POPPIN’ 🍌✨ and the smiles were even sweeter!

When I scream, you scream, we ALL scream for ICE CREAM!🍦🎉

And once we were done enjoying those delicious banana splits, we decided we better work off some of those calories!😂 So, we played a little kickball by plate points!⚽️🥅

The goal was 100%… let’s just say we’re sitting around 70-ish percent!🤣 We definitely need to work on controlling those kicks! But hey, the most important thing was the FUN we had! ❤️

Sweet treats, big laughs, and a little friendly competition… now THAT’S a day at Montgomery Place! 🎉

Our amazing therapy team came up with a unique and FUN way to raise money for the Parkinson’s Foundation! 💙
Trevor bravely volunteered to put his hair on the line, and staff had the opportunity to purchase tickets for a chance to SHAVE TREVOR’S HEAD! 🎟️✂️
And let’s just say… the stages of fun were definitely entertaining! 😂 Check out the pictures below to see the transformation!

We celebrated National Senior Citizens Day with a good old-fashioned **Carnival Day!** 🎡❤️

Our residents enjoyed loaded nachos for lunch, caramel apples, popcorn, cotton candy, fun carnival games, and LOTS of laughter!*🍎🍿🍭🎯

There were smiles all around, a little friendly competition, and memories made that we’ll be talking about for a long time! 🥰

Because age is just a number when you know how to have FUN! 🎉

Meet Cassidy “Bella” Rodriguez — and let us tell you, this kid is something special! 🥹💗
This summer, Bella dedicated an incredible 150 HOURS of her time to our nursing home residents. While she could have been spending her summer on her phone or tablet, she chose to spend it making memories, leading activities, sharing laughs, and building genuine relationships with the people who call Montgomery Place home. 🥰
Bella brought smiles, laughter, joy, and so much love into our building. She has made a lasting impact on our residents and our team, and we are beyond grateful for every single hour she gave.
We can't thank you enough, Bella, for choosing to spend your summer with us and for showing everyone that making a difference doesn't require a title — just a caring heart and a willingness to show up. ❤️
Our residents are definitely going to miss you while you're away at school! 📚🎓 But we hope you know that you will always have a special place here at Montgomery Place.
