⚾💙 Today is Lou Gehrig Day ⚾💙
On June 2, we honor the life and legacy of Lou Gehrig, the legendary New York Yankees first baseman whose courage in the face of ALS helped bring awareness to a disease that now bears his name.
ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), often called Lou Gehrig's Disease, is a progressive neurological disease that affects nerve cells responsible for voluntary muscle movement. While much has been learned since Lou Gehrig's diagnosis in 1939, there is still no cure.
Today, we recognize the strength and resilience of those living with ALS, the dedication of caregivers, and the researchers and advocates working toward better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
At Mobility Access Options NW, we are honored to play a small role in helping individuals affected by ALS maintain independence, comfort, and quality of life through mobility and accessibility solutions.
💙 Join us in raising awareness and supporting the ALS community.
