Over the last 8 weeks, I’ve attended 8 births and helped one Family thru an early loss. Not every single birth went exactly as planned, but every single one was so good.

Yesterday a sweet baby boy came into the world a bit sideways & this morning a sweet baby girl flew into the world on a beautiful morning.

I’m greatly looking forward to a few weeks off call before we get summer going 🌞

There was a season of my life where I drove 90+ minutes one way to attend births.

Today, I serve families just minutes from home… and sometimes birth still moves faster than all of us.

One sweet baby decided 30 minutes was plenty of time to arrive earthside 🤍

I may not have made it in time for the birth, but I’m always grateful to be nearby—to step in with care, support, and a warm presence when it’s needed most.

Fast births, strong mamas, and the reminder that babies write their own timelines ✨

Recently, a basket was donated by Iris Midwifery to St. Andrew school for an auction. I tried to put things I’ve seen women love and I loved myself. Including a prenatal massage gift card to .caneyks !!
