✨ Happy New Year, everyone! ✨

I’m so happy to share that after an extended leave, Rythm will be reopening in early 2026 🤍

I’m incredibly excited (& grateful) to be stepping back into the clinic again.

This next chapter of Rythm will look a bit different- in all the best ways. It will be an intentionally limited version of my previous practice: still just me, offering the highest level of care, but in a way that’s aligned with this season of motherhood, & I couldn’t be more excited to be returning.

Life update: motherhood has truly been the sweetest adventure. Cape turned 1 in November, and Remi turns 3 this week 🥹 I plan to continue being with them most of the time while also returning to the work I love so deeply.

I’m still mostly off social media these days, so all updates & scheduling info will live on my website (linked in bio).

So looking forward to connecting with you all soon & wishing you a new year filled with good health & amazing memories! 🤍

Your Bladder LOVES water & staying hydrated is one of the nicest things you can do for your urinary system (& body in general!)

This is especially true and important if you struggle with symptoms like p*eing too frequently, or if you get super strong urges/ have to rush to the bathroom to p*e.

It may seem that drinking MORE water would just make you have to p*e more or rush to the bathroom more right? Well the opposite is true!

When we aren’t properly hydrated our p*e gets super concentrated, which then irritates your bladder. When your urine is concentrated your bladder wants to get it OUT. So you will feel the urge to p*e more frequently and often more intensely.

Drinking more water helps dilute your p*e so it’s less concentrated, which makes it less agitating to your bladder.

So if you struggle with p*eing all of the time, or feel like you have to rush to the bathroom, 9/10 you likely need more plain jane water intake.

If this is you- gradually (& I MEAN GRADUALLY), increase your water intake throughout the day!

& if possible drink a little water before drinking or eating anything that is caffeinated, is carbonated, has alcohol, is citrus/tomato based, or is spicy. These are common things that make your p*e mega concentrated aka more irritating.

As always, if you struggle with p*eing too frequently, or strong urges, likely your pelvic floor needs some rehab. Pelvic floor therapists are here for you!

Remi Ruth Newton🤍

Our not so little love joined us fashionably late 9 days past her due date this Tuesday, 1/3, as a surprise chunker of 9lbs 4 oz.

We are over the moon & soaking in every minute.

More to come on my birth experience & pelvic floor deets, but wow- I am overwhelmed with gratitude & my new perspective for these incredible bodies of ours & every profession that plays a role in supporting this perinatal process. Truly angels on earth.

Thank you everyone for all of your love & support during this oh so special time🤍

Rythm turned 2🎉 -yesterday! lol

I am so grateful for the past two years 🤍

Being a one-person clinic & having my own practice has not been a piece of (bday) cake😉. I get to wear a lot of different hats, from therapist, to accountant, to front desk, & everything in between- & I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Doing so has allowed me to do what I love in the way I feel pelvic health should be offered, & I am so grateful for all who have trusted me with their care these past 2 years! Truly an honor to get to do this as my “work”.

Cheers to year 3 and learning to do it with a new little one!

Man oh Man- it’s so crazy that this time is already here- just 2 days shy of Rythm’s 2nd birthday! These preggo hormones have me all in my feels, & it is so bittersweet to be stepping away from my “business baby” for a little bit, but going to do my best and practice what I preach to my patients on the daily & prioritize this time.

The Rythm Clinic will be Temporarily Closed for Maternity Leave until Further Notice. We anticipate reopening around July 2023. ✨

You can find the latest updates here & on our website as it gets closer!

I am going to do my best to “disconnect” during leave, but will be checking email & my DM’s sporadically- just may take some extended time for my response. I so appreciate your understanding during this special time.

I will still do my best to continue to share & spread the good word of pelvic health while I am out. Comment below or message me if there is anything specific you want me to share more about! 👇🏼

Sending lots of love & wish you all a wonderful rest of the holiday season.✨

Sending so many thanks & gratitude to my patients, my family, my friends, & to every single person that has supported my small business these past 2 years.

From seeing me in the clinic to telling your friends/providers about my clinic or pelvic PT, to liking a post on social, or simply sending me a message- it all means more than you will ever know!

Supporting small businesses is one of the easiest ways you can support someone’s dreams, & I can’t thank you enough for supporting mine ✨

You read that right- your pelvic floor goes through quite the journey during pregnancy & birth. During a vaginal delivery, these muscles are stretched up to 3 x their original length. 🤯

But what is super cool about this fact is that this is totally normal & these muscles are SUPPOSED to do this!

However many individuals actually have too tight of pelvic floor muscles, especially in pregnancy, which makes these muscles more rigid.

Healthy pelvic floor muscles are nice and pliable, like a trampoline, & having too much tension here can actually increase your risk for tears & injuries during delivery.

This is one of the many reasons why working with a pelvic floor PT during pregnancy is super helpful. We help teach you how to properly prepare these muscles for delivery, how to reduce your risk of injury, & how to make sure they are ready to do their job when it comes time to meet your little one.

If you are currently pregnant, I highly recommend scheduling a few appointments with a pelvic floor therapist. It’s never too late! ✨
