Lautzenheiser opened this practice, they started with the mission to provide their patients with the highest quality of care possible. Gout is a common form of inflammatory arthritis caused by the buildup of uric acid in the body, which can be very painful.

Gout typically only affects one joint at a time…. most commonly the big toe joint. It can also affect other joints in your toes, ankles, knees, and fingers.

Gout affects over 9 million people in the United States. That’s over 3% of the population. 🤯

Gout flares start suddenly, and can last for days or weeks. These flares are usually followed by long periods of remission (months or years without any symptoms) before another flare / attack will begin.

There is no cure for gout, but with the right treatments and medications, it can be managed.
