First responders sound therapy & breathwork session this morning.
It makes me so happy to see clients who may have never attended a sound therapy session before come in with an open mind and experience the benefits for themselves. During our session, we discussed the importance of finding healthy, positive outlets, especially when dealing with emotional distress. What we continually suppress or carry without processing can often show up as physical, emotional, and mental symptoms over time.
Having this session during Men’s Mental Health Month aligned perfectly.
Thank you to everyone who attended and allowed themselves the space to slow down and recharge.

Rest is an essential part of the process, not a break from it. Today, find a small way to implement rest into your day, instead of waiting until you’re exhausted to receive it.
• Taking a few extra minutes this morning to enjoy the morning breeze and sun before starting your day.
• Stretch your neck, shoulders, and jaw when you notice tension.
• Enjoy your coffee or tea without multitasking.
• Take a short walk without listening to anything but nature. (No phone)
Rest isn’t always about sleeping. Sometimes it’s simple a deep breath, a moment of stillness, or choosing not to carry the weight of everything for a few minutes.
Rest can take many forms. ✨💕

Before this session a client asked me, “Will you be able to feel how stressed I am when I come in?” Although I can often sense when someone is carrying a lot of stress, my focus is never on the stress itself. My intention is to create a space where you can safely let go of what you’ve been carrying and shift into a deep state of relaxation. One of my favorite parts of every session is witnessing that moment when everyone in the room finally softens, releases, and allows themselves to simply rest. We don’t realize how much tension we’ve been holding in our bodies until we experience what it feels like to let it go. There is something powerful about choosing rest before our bodies force us to slow down. It is a gift to give ourselves that time to pause, reset, and receive. ✨💕🫶

After tending to my plants the other day, I started thinking about how much more vibrant and beautiful they are when I water them before they’re completely bone dry, instead of waiting until they’re desperately thirsty. It made me realize how much that mirrors life. When we care for our nervous system and physical needs before we’re fully depleted, we’re able to thrive more fully for ourselves and for the people around us. But when we wait until exhaustion or burnout to finally tend to ourselves, everything feels harder.
We have to start giving ourselves permission to rest, nourish, and care for ourselves before we reach empty. Because caring for ourselves is not separate from the care we give others, it’s a part of it.

There’s a certain type of tranquility I receive from sunrises & ocean waves. So much beauty to take in all at once.
