TATS is the professional organization of athletic trainers in the State of Tennessee. Its members are healthcare professionals licensed by the Board of Athletic Training in the State of Tennessee. Athletic trainers in Tennessee provide care for physically active individuals in a variety of settings, including secondary school, collegiate, and professional athletics; outpatient and inpatient clinic

al settings; physician offices; industrial settings; and many others. Athletic training is not the same profession as personal training. And certified athletic trainers work with more than just athletes – they can be found just about anywhere that people are physically active.
