Baking up progress in the Day Treatment Program!

Our DTP patients put their cognitive strategies to work by organizing and completing a multi-step baking project from start to finish, making a variety of dog and cat treats.

Tasks like this let patients practice the sequencing, planning, and organizational strategies they've been building in therapy, skills they'll carry into home, community, and work.

And the best part? All proceeds from their Dog & Cat Bake Sale are going straight to Indy Humane. Way to go, DTP patients!

Crunchee's got mail! 🐾💌

Our beloved ICAN dog Crunchee recently got her very own mailbox set up in the therapy gym, giving patients a sweet new way to leave her notes, thank-yous, and words of encouragement.

Last week, Molly Overkamp, Clinical Research Coordinator for IU, presented information on the Model System Knowledge Translation Center (MSKTC) and their TBI resources.

RHI is proud to be 1 of just 16 Model Systems nationwide. Molly's presentation helped heighten our team's awareness of what this designation means, the work the MSKTC does, and how it directly supports our therapists and the patients we serve every day.
