It's officially live, friends. 🌞 Squeee!

The Liminal Life Vol. 2 | Litha: Summer Solstice Edition is ready for your download! Only $11.

I started writing this issue holding a specific question: what would it look like to receive the fullness of a season rather than immediately converting it into forward motion? To actually feel what has been built before the turning begins? In essence, how do I resist the "hustle & grind" of never relishing? Of always moving to the next thing?

The answer, it turned out, required telling you some things I don't usually lead with. About breaking during the Pandemic. About menopause arriving in the same season, like a second signal I couldn't ignore. About the body being - as it turns out - an extraordinarily honest witness, if you can learn to listen to it.

This issue has everything I wanted to give you: the clinical tools, the personal story, the creative practice, the ritual, and the quiet at the center of all of it.

If you're on my email list, the link to purchase it is already in your inbox. If you're not, head to kairosholistichealing.com/litha26 and receive it today. 💛

If you'd like to share your story about midlife upheaval and healing, submit an article to [email protected] for my Mabon Vol. 3 issue!

Three days until Vol. 2 of The Liminal Life is in your hands. Squeeee!

Here's everything that's inside the Summer Solstice Edition, Litha: Expansion without Overexertion:

• The Opening Threshold essay - my most personal piece yet, including the specific moment of stillness that finally made me stop (you'll meet my grandson 🥹)
• Living by the Season: Litha - the Wheel of the Year, menopause as biological solstice, and a candle meditation for a slow summer evening
• The Register - new journaling prompts on visibility, fullness, and the turn, aligned with lunar phases
• Tarot-assisted Healing - The Sun and Strength as anchor cards, and dialectical thinking from DBT (replacing "but" with "and" - simple & genuinely transformative)
• The Studio - making a personalized ritual matchbox for fire element work
• Whole-Self Healing: Burnout as a Spiritual Signal - the full personal story, some Polyvagal Theory in plain language, and a pendulation practice for your nervous system
• A Summer Solstice ritual, a Litha playlist, and a quiet closing poem

This magazine is the most personal thing I've published. It felt important to put it into the world exactly as it is and I hope it offers you something meaningful.

kairosholistichealing.com/litha26 to purchase it now so you can download it automatically when it drops June 8th. 💛

Lemme just tell you something I don't always lead with in professional spaces: I broke.

Not dramatically. Not all at once. But during the Pandemic, after decades of operating at a pace that would have concerned me deeply in a client, I hit a wall that no amount of productivity, problem-solving, or sheer willpower was going to get me through.

Here's what I eventually understood: burnout isn't a failure of character. It is a signal of wisdom.

It is the nervous system - your nervous system, the one that has been holding the weight of decades and keeping you alive - finally doing exactly what it she's designed to do. Saying: this is not sustainable, and I will not pretend otherwise anymore.

The body, it turns out, is an extraordinarily honest witness. It just takes a while for our mind to catch up.

I wrote about all of this in Vol. 2 of The Liminal Life | Summer Solstice Edition dropping June 8th. If you loved Vol 1 and already know you’re in for Vol 2 - click here: kairosholistichealing.com/litha26 to order now and you’ll get it automatically when it drops!

If you've ever run out of road on your override system, I think this one might meet you exactly where you are.

Something is coming, and I've been excitedly waiting to share it with you.

Y'all know the Summer Solstice, Litha, is the longest day of the year. The sun reaches its absolute zenith, more light than any other moment in the calendar. And then, quietly, it begins to turn.

I've been sitting with what that means for us in midlife, in the thick of perimenopause or menopause, in the season where the body is asking us, maybe for the first time, to finally come home to ourselves.

Vol. 2 of The Liminal Life drops June 8th. It's subtitled Expansion Without Overexertion, and I can't wait to put it in your hands.

More details in the coming days, or if you loved Vol. 1 and already know you’re in for Vol 2 - click here: kairosholistichealing.com/litha26 to order now and you’ll get it as soon as it drops June 8th.☀️

When the support they offer you mirrors the things that you’ve said to them in the past. It’s brought me to tears more than a couple times the past couple of weeks.

“Find the calm in the crazy.”
“Maybe this next chapter opens a new way of life”
“It’s okay to slow down and see what unfolds”
“You know we’re here for you”
“How can I help?”

When our children support us with these kinds of statements, a calm and a comfort settles into me as I realize that they’ve internalized the things we’ve told them through the years.

Despite all the intense struggles we’ve been going through, this brings us peace.

It's all f&ckery, folks & all we can really do is learn how to not abandon ourselves when it all hits the fan.

Art/Creativity is an often overlooked coping skill.

i’m not a trained artist and you don’t have to be either, you don’t have to be good at drawing or painting or “crafts”, if you’re interested in learning how this can actually help support the other therapy you’re already doing that now is the time to reach out.

If this interests you, DM “overlooked”

Here are some things I've made to manage when it all feels too much lately.

If this appeals to you, too, DM me "RELATABLE" to learn more.
