For more than a century, Hooverwood has served the elderly with dignity & respect. At Hooverwood, we recognize each resident as a unique individual.

We care for the whole person in an energetic, active, and social environment. Our goal is to provide a home where residents can thrive. Hooverwood is a nonprofit nursing home located on the Max and Mae Simon Jewish Community Campus in northwest Indianapolis. Our home is Medicare and Medicaid certified, providing skilled nursing and medical services, rehabilitation, dementia care, and adult day services. We’ve created a home-like setting with private and semi-private rooms. Residents can enjoy amenities including a beauty shop, gift shop, courtyards, and chapel. We invite you to take a tour of Hooverwood, and see what makes our home a special place for our residents and their families.

A taste of an Indy classic! 🥪✨ Our residents headed downtown for lunch at Shapiro’s Deli, where the portions are generous, the favorites are timeless, and there’s always something delicious on the table. Nothing like a trip to one of Indianapolis’ most iconic spots!

Alma consistently goes above and beyond for our residents. Her professionalism, dependability, and commitment to excellent care have made her a valued presence at Kraft Commons. Through it all, Alma continues to show up, give her best, and put our residents first.

Justus stands out for his strong work ethic, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn. As he grows in his new role, his dependability, willingness to help, and respectful nature have earned the trust of residents and teammates alike. He truly embodies what it means to be a Rising Star! ⭐

🎶 Some traditions never miss a beat.

A huge thank you to Cantor Janice Roger, Mike Cook, and Diane Abrams for another great Hooverwood Harmony gathering in July. This recurring program has become a favorite, bringing familiar songs, smiles, and opportunities for residents to sing along together.

We are so grateful for the time, talent, and joy they continue to share with us!

Our residents spent the day last week cheering on the Indianapolis Indians and soaking up a perfect summer afternoon. Great company, America’s favorite pastime, and plenty of smiles made for a home run of a day!
