Brianna DeWitt graduated from Ball State University in 2023 with a bachelor’s
degree in Family and Child Studies and a concentration in Child Development.
Brianna began working for First Steps in February 2024 and later joined PSA in
June 2025.
Brianna has experience working with early language skills in both English and
Spanish. She believes the best part of early intervention is building relationship
with the little ones and families watching them succeed!
When she is not working, she enjoys cooking, baking, and taking her dog, Bailey
on walks. Brianna plans to continue her education in 2026 at IU to work towards
her master’s degree in Speech Therapy.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) is a day focused on improving digital access and inclusion for people with disabilities.
In early intervention, that starts early, using things like visuals, adapted toys, and AAC to help every child communicate, engage, and learn.
True accessibility means every child can participate fully in the world around them.

Short answer: When a child turns 3, early intervention services transition to the school system. Children receiving First Steps work with their IFSP Team to make the transition as smooth as possible.
