Ellie weighed 6 # 10oz and was born on 8/15! Papas always weight their babies at the births!

Newborn exam happens after every birth, we look baby over head to toe, weight, and measure.

Ten years ago today, sweet Emmy came into this world! What a joy it has been to watch this family grow over the years. Since Emmy’s birth, her mama has welcomed four more babies with Serene Midwifery! 🥰
We are so thankful to have been part of their journey through five beautiful births. Happy 10th birthday, Emmy! 🎂 We are so blessed to have known you from the very beginning!

Shiloh was born into the water on June 15th, weighing 7 lbs 8 oz!

This mama was so determined, and her birth was covered in prayer. She trusted the process, persevered through the hard moments, and welcomed her sweet baby boy with such strength and courage. 🙏🏼✨

Shiloh joins his big sisters, and this was our second time serving this beautiful family. We are so honored to have been invited back to support them once again and to witness another precious birth.

Certified Direct Entry Midwives provide essential care across Indiana, especially as access to obstetric services continues to decline. Eliminating this committee would reduce appropriate oversight and harm maternal and infant care.
