One of our favorite things about AOS is the wildlife here on the pond. Today, we were blessed to get to be a part of its preservation by helping this poor duck 🦆 who became entangled in mesh debris, possibly brought in from the storms. The duck was trapped and struggling. It wasn’t happy at first, but once it realized we were there to help, it surrendered. And now it is free. Hmm. Sounds familiar.

🇺🇸It’s Memorial Day at AOS!🇺🇸

Today we come together to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country’s freedom. Because of them, we are blessed with the opportunity to stand together, support one another, and fight the battles in our own lives with the strength of fellowship beside us.

We honor those who gave everything, and we remain forever grateful for the freedoms their selflessness secured.

We had the chance to celebrate Bobbie’s 1 year with some incredible people who consistently pour into this community. We are thankful for the culture in our household and that wouldn’t be a possibility if there weren’t people like this in our city who give their time and wisdom generously. It takes a village. Keep showing up for people to show them recovery is possible.

🎉Acts has a birthday to celebrate! 🎉
Everybody congratulate Bobbie on his 1 year!

Bobbie has been our House Manager for just under two months now. He did not get this position because he was a walking example stepping into our house and quite actually, Bobbie showed signs that he might be a little bit difficult. But turns out, he WASN’T and he received this position because of his resiliency, growth, and sheer effort to make this time count. He is an encouragement to his peers and a humble force of accountability. Bobbie is very family oriented and treats the people he has met on this journey, just like family.
 We are very happy that Bobbie has chose to be a long-standing resident of Acts and super excited to see what’s all in store for this man.

So today, we celebrate something worth celebrating! Please join us in congratulating him!
