We had a great turnout for our third annual Heart of Healthcare: Diving Into Career Opportunities, where junior high and high school students explored career paths, met healthcare professionals and got an inside look at the many roles that support patient care.

We were thrilled to see our team connect with the next generation of healthcare professionals and help students discover where their interests could take them.

Your smartwatch may be telling you more than the time.

In a recent FOX59 News interview, Dr. Anil Purohit, cardiac electrophysiologist at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital, explained how smartwatch notifications can sometimes help detect atrial fibrillation (AFib), a common heart rhythm disorder that can increase the risk of stroke.

The good news? Early detection can lead to earlier treatment and better outcomes.

Caregivers working at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital and Community Hospital North received a sweet surprise over Father’s Day weekend thanks to Castleton United Methodist Church. The congregation donated “Popcorn for Pops” treats to recognize dads, grandfathers and all caregivers serving our patients and families. Treats were handed out across the North campus as another heartfelt reminder of the community’s appreciation for our healthcare heroes.
