Established in 2003 as an affiliate of the National Urban League, The Exchange at the Indianapolis Urban League is a community based organization dedicated to promoting, advocating, developing and serving our diverse population in a variety of ways also known as P.A.D.S. The five pillars that shape what we do in the community focus on empowerment of Education & Youth, Health & Quality of Life, Civic Engagement and Leadership, Civil Rights and Racial Justice and Economics. Part 2 brings together a new group of panelists who are turning passion into Black-owned businesses.

Last week Cohort 10, also known as The Talented Tenth, unveiled their Indy11 Foundational Needs Guide.

Indy11 is a free neighborhood guide connecting any Indianapolis resident to food, shelter, health, education, and safety resources, plus who represents them at every level of government. One ZIP code. One screen. One tap to call.

In Indiana, emergency help with rent and utilities is a legal right. Almost nobody knows it. That’s not a funding gap. It’s an information gap, and Indy11 closes it.

Congrats to this amazing group for their hard work and efforts to center the city and its citizens!

Applications for the 2027 Exchange Leadership Fellows Program are now open.

This premier program equips rising leaders with the tools, networks, and strategies needed to drive lasting civic impact in Indianapolis. Fellows engage with top executives across the government, business, and nonprofit sectors to address critical issues of equity, opportunity, and social justice.

Mandatory Program Schedule:

Opening Session: Saturday, January 9, 2027

Fellows Sessions: Saturdays — February 13, March 13, April 10, May 8, June 12, and July 10, 2027

Closing Session: Saturday, August 14, 2027
