Robert Davenport Jr.

Robert Davenport Jr., 65, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026. He was born on March 17, 1961, in Indianapolis to Carlene Strader Hill and Robert Davenport Sr.

Robert grew up in Indianapolis with his five siblings and graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School. A talented artist and gifted athlete, one of his proudest accomplishments was winning the State Championship in the High Hurdles, an accomplishment that reflected his determination, athletic ability, and competitive spirit. Robert went on to marry his beloved wife, Anna (Smith), and, together, they raised three children, Tiffany, Jason, and Leslie, creating a home filled with love, grounded in faith, and centered on family.

Robert dedicated more than 30 years to working for the Department of Public Works before retiring. His faith was also an important part of his life. He was a member of the congregation at Community Reach Ministry from its inception and remained a valued part of the congregation until his passing.

Robert was known for his friendly smile, warm personality, and ability to make everyone feel welcome. He truly knew no strangers. Whether he had known you for years or had just met you, Robert had a way of making you feel like family.

He loved sports, playing cards, singing, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. He took great joy in being a father and “pawpaw”, and the memories he created with his loved ones will be treasured for generations to come.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Carlene Strader Hill and Robert Davenport Sr.; daughter, Tiffany; and his beloved wife of 44 years, Anna.

He leaves to cherish his memory children, Jason (Kelly), Leslie, and Zachary; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his siblings, Shirlinda, LeEtta (Rodney), Gregory, Ronnita, and Bennita (Tony); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

Robert will be remembered for his bright smile, generous spirit, love of family, and the many lives he touched. Though he is deeply missed, his memory and legacy will live on through all who knew and loved him.

Stephany Davette Dodge

Stephany D. Dodge passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, at the age of 75.

Born on July 16, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Stephany was the daughter of David Lee and Hazel Lee (Johnson) Dodge and proud parent of her beloved daughter, Bianca Janelle Dodge.

Stephany was raised on the West Side of Indianapolis and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1969. Shortly after graduation Stephany began a remarkable, nearly 50-year career at Clarian Health, formerly known as Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis. Over five decades of dedicated service, she retired in September 2018 as the Unit Secretary for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Affectionately known to all as "Steph", and fondly embraced as "Cousin Steph" by family, Stephany had a strong love for those that she held near and dear. Affectionately giving nicknames such as: “Doodle”, “Puddin”, “Love Bug” and so on…if you know, you know; or intoning your name in only the way she had if saying it.

Stephany found immense joy in the simple things in life and had a true romantic and wanderlust spirit. She was an avid reader of historical romantic novels; if it included a vampire it was all the better. Her passion for film began early, taking in shows at the Madame CJ Walker Building. That early experience cultivated a deep passion for music, particularly classical compositions, sweeping film scores, and movie soundtracks. All things Hollywood would have definitely been her winning theme on Jeopardy. While Cousin Steph delighted in books, movies, music, and good food; she enjoyed most spending quality time with her family and friends, the sense of being loved and included in the everyday nuances of those that held in high esteem, that never forgot her. Love and laughter were the balm to her soul. The more one could make her laugh all the better, thanks “Moon” for making her hold her gut over the years!

Stephany was preceded in death by her father, David L. Dodge; grandparents, Benjamin and Anna Rose Johnson; mother, Hazel Lee Dodge; her cherished daughter, Bianca J. Dodge; and her beloved aunt, Maggie M. Taylor.

Her memory and legacy will be forever cherished by her sister, Faith S. Dodge; her beloved Taylor IIs Karrie Taylor (Deadrick D.), Anyea Taylor-Silver (Craig), Deadrick A. and Xavier Taylor; along with a host of extended family members, dear friends, and former colleagues whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Prince Lee Allen

Like a road stretching toward the horizon, Prince Lee Allen’s life carried motion, purpose, and the steady imprint of miles well traveled. Prince Lee Allen, 51, passed away on October 6, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Born on January 3, 1975, Prince moved through life with paths that touched many. He attended Lawrence High School and worked as a truck driver for eight years, spending his days on the open road, where long highways and changing skies marked the rhythm of his work.

Those remembering Prince include his partner, Yvonne Johnson; his children, Robert Allen, Sha’Quel Allen, Jaelyn Cooper, Adrianna Allen, Dynistie Simone Allen, Israel Allen, and Judah Allen; his father, William Davis; and his siblings, Suzette (Daniel) Sweatt of Arizona, David (Sheleita) Allen of Indiana, Denise Allen Henderson of Indiana, Tawanna (Tory) Garner of Indiana, India Davis of Indiana, Barbara Lettsome of Georgia, Nikki Matlock of Illinois, and LaShanda (Jerry) Somerville of Tennessee. His memory also remains with seven grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Lee Allen, and his brother, Anthony Rhodes.

Prince Lee Allen’s journey now rests beyond the farthest bend in the road, yet his name remains in the hearts of those who knew him, carried forward like a familiar song beneath a wide and endless sky.

Thomas C. Williams

Mr. Thomas C Williams was the last born of thirteen children born on June 3rd, 1943

In Greenwood, Mississippi to Thomas and Estella Lyle Williams. He departed this earthly life on Sunday September 27th, 2026 He attended Arsenal Technical High School here in Indianapolis, Indiana. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and attended Truth Apostolic, which later became Whole Man Ministries. He served as a member of the Deacon Board.

Thomas married Thelma Gilbert on May 2, 1992 at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. He and Thelma shared many years of marital bliss until his death.

Thomas was employed and retired from United Technology (Carrier). He was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and enjoyed going to the movies, Pacer games and spending time with family.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and twelve siblings. Thomas leaves to cherish his beloved wife Thelma, daughters; Anita Mack, Shannah Williams, Natasha Garnette, Natalie Gilbert, nine Grand-children, ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Kevin D. Richardson

Kevin D. Richardson, the first child of Crystal (Dwight) and Kevin Richardson, was born on October 12, 1988, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He attended Arsenal Technical High School, where he continued to show his passion for football and baseball.

Kevin continued his education by attending trade school for Barbering and Carpentry. Kevin worked for Langston and Associates construction.

Kevin found joy in the simple things that made life special. He loved sports and enjoyed traveling, fishing, and going on adventures. He had a passion for culinary, photography, capturing moments and creating memories along the way. He was a hands-on person who loved learning, creating, and sharing his talents with others. The things he loved reflected his adventurous spirit, creativity, and genuine love for life. Kevin loved helping and protecting his loved ones, sports, and nature.

Kevin was a loving father to three children: Nivek, Myluv, and Khari Richardson. His children were a very special part of his life. Kevin was a proud father who loved his children deeply and always wanted the best for them. Being their dad was one of the greatest joys in his life.

Kevin D. Richardson departed this life on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the age of 37. He was preceded in death by beloved family members and dear friends. He touched the lives of many family members through his kindness and selflessness. The love and memories they shared will forever remain a part of his story.

Kevin leaves to cherish his memory three children: Nivek, Myluv, and Khari Richardson; mother, Crystal Lasley (Dwight); father, Kevin Richardson; siblings: Darrice (Shamika), Kristen (Adrian), Danikqua, and Daisha; a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends.

Kevin will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jodi Deann Wray

The Obituary of Jodi Deann Wray September 1, 1980 – September 26, 2026

Jodi Deann Wray was born on September 1, 1980, in Camden, New Jersey, to Eddie Dean Conaway and Marva Jeanette Mitchell. Before her first birthday, her family relocated to Lumber City, Georgia, where her father was raised. Following the passing of her mother in 1985, Jodi continued her early education in Lumber City surrounded by family. In her early teens, she went to live with her Aunt Maggie and Uncle Joe in Milledgeville, Georgia, while spending cherished summers visiting her mother’s side of the family in Indiana.

While attending Baldwin High School, Jodi met the love of her life, Rekardi "Ricky" Wray. Upon graduating, Jodi moved to Indiana with her oldest sister, Tina S. Mitchell. Ricky soon followed, and the two were united in holy matrimony. To this union, their family was blessed with two beloved sons, RJ and DJ.

With a servant’s heart and a natural calling to care for others, Jodi dedicated her professional life to healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Direct Support Professional (DSP). Over the years, she faithfully served residents and clients at Lakeview Nursing Home, Westside Retirement, and most recently, New Hope.

Above all, Jodi loved her family fiercely. She always referred to her loved ones as “My people, my tribe,” and poured endless devotion into them. Jodi never met a stranger; her signature greeting was, “I don’t shake hands, I give hugs!” If you missed her call, she’d quickly move to the next person, always making sure everyone felt checked on and connected. She gave love freely, unconditionally, and in her own unforgettable way.

Jodi was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Marva Jeanette Mitchell, and her brother, Edrick Clark.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her devoted husband, Rekardi "Ricky" Wray; her two sons, Rekardi “RJ” Wray and Daleon “DJ” Wray; her father, Eddie Dean Conaway; her sisters, Tina S. Mitchell and Marshealle Dianne "Missy" Chisholm; her brothers, Eddie Dean Conaway and Eric Demond Tolbert; nine nieces and twelve nephews; alongside a loving host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. She is profoundly loved and will be forever missed.
