Here are 4 non-negotiables I use as an osteopath to keep myself healthy.
1. Exercise every day.
Not because I am chasing perfection, but because the body was built to move. Even 45 minutes to an hour of intentional movement can change the way you feel, think, sleep, and handle stress.
2. Prioritize sleep.
Do I always get as much as I need? No.
But sleep is still the foundation. You cannot keep borrowing energy from tomorrow and expect your body to thank you for it.
3. Eat your veggies.
Yes, I eat mine.
Fiber matters. Variety matters. Your gut, immune system, energy, and overall health are all affected by what you consistently put on your plate.
4. Balance life outside of work.
This one is the hardest for me.
Social, spiritual, physical, and mental health all need attention outside of your job. You are not just what you produce. You are still a person who needs connection, recovery, purpose, and peace.
Health is not built from one perfect habit.
It is built from the things you keep coming back to.
