$275,000. Three important investments. One extraordinary community partner.

Prairie Meadows has awarded $275,000 to WesleyLife Foundation in supporting work that touches older adults and families across Central Iowa, from transforming the places people call home to delivering nutritious meals and meaningful connection to providing compassionate care at the end of life.

The grants include $200,000 toward the transformational redevelopment of The Village (pictured) in Indianola, $65,000 for WesleyLife Meals on Wheels, and $10,000 for WesleyLife Hospice.

We’re deeply grateful for Prairie Meadows’ longstanding partnership and its commitment to helping older adults live lives of greater health, independence, connection, and meaning.

Good food. Great company. Full hearts… and full plates! 🍽️

Our annual Village Potluck, sponsored by our Recreation & Social Committee, was a wonderful celebration of what makes The Village so special—coming together, sharing, connecting, laughing, and enjoying time with one another.

A huge thank you to everyone who came, brought a dish, shared a story, pulled up a chair, and helped make the day so much fun. And, of course, a special shoutout to all the amazing cooks who made sure no one left hungry! 😉

There’s nothing quite like good food shared with good people. We’re so grateful for the community we’ve built together—and for all the reasons to gather around the table and celebrate!

Yesterday, we enjoyed a special bus trip to Jesse J Sanctuary Foundation in Prole, where we were treated to a private tour of this beautiful and peaceful retreat. We learned about the sanctuary's inspiring mission to provide comfort and respite for cancer patients and their families while exploring the scenic grounds and amenities.

It was a meaningful afternoon filled with fresh air, beautiful views, and an opportunity to learn about the compassionate work being done right here in our community. Thank you to Jesse J Sanctuary Foundation for your warm hospitality and for sharing your story with us. We are grateful for the chance to experience such a special place together!

Rain, rain, stay away... we've got brick to lay today!

With rain in the forecast, we're cheering on our construction crew as they continue making progress on our new independent living apartment building. Every stack of brick brings us one step closer to welcoming future residents home to The Village, A WesleyLife Community.

This month, we welcomed Bochner Farms LLC as our August Small Business Spotlight!

We enjoyed a wonderful visit from Lori and Jim Bochner, who shared the story of their family farm, how it all began, and the passion that goes into growing beautiful, high-quality flowers. It was inspiring to learn about their journey and the dedication behind this local business.

Congratulations to our two lucky winners, who went home with gorgeous arrangements filled with vibrant summer colors!

It was a beautiful day cheering on the Iowa Cubs and enjoying all the fun that comes with America’s favorite pastime. The perfect weather, exciting game, and wonderful company made for an unforgettable afternoon. Here’s to sunshine, baseball, and making memories together! ⚾️

35 Years and Still Groovin’!

The Village was out in full force for the pride of Warren County parade with residents and team members walking, riding, waving, and soaking up all the fun along the route.

From visiting with neighbors, to spotting the National Balloon Classic pilots and enjoying the creativity of fellow parade entries, it was a great reminder of what makes Indianola such a special place to call home.

We’re grateful to be celebrating 35 years here and proud to be a part of the town that offers so many opportunities to stay active, connected, and involved.

A big thank you to Jesse J Sanctuary Foundation for visiting us and sharing the gift of beautiful succulents with our residents and team members!

Not only did everyone enjoy taking home a new plant, but we also had the opportunity to learn about the incredible mission behind this nonprofit organization. Inspired by Jesse's courageous journey with Glioblastoma, Jesse J Sanctuary provides free rural retreat experiences for cancer patients and their families, offering a peaceful place to rest, reconnect, and create meaningful memories during challenging times.

We are grateful for the kindness, inspiration, and greenery they brought to our community.
