The ABC Recovery Center encompasses a seven-acre campus, one block long, occupying both sides of a tranquil street in a suburban neighborhood in Indio, California. ABC Recovery Center Campus
One side includes a Sub-Acute Detox facility, a Men's Residence, a Women's residence, a Dining Hall, a laundry facility, a Men's Dormitory and a one-story two suite accommodation for men. The other side includes a 10 bungalow Transitional Living Village, with private rooms, patios and a fountain; The McGovern House, a six room facility with private playground for new mothers & their children; a Sober Living Village with 12 units featuring kitchenettes along with an Outpatient Center and the Administration Building/Community Center.

Only one perinatal residential program in the Coachella Valley, and every part of it is built around care, support, and recovery.

At ABC Recovery Center, our Perinatal Residential Program provides prenatal and postnatal care, parenting support, trauma-informed clinical services, and an individualized treatment experience for pregnant women with substance use disorders. A safe place to land can change what recovery looks like.

At ABC Recovery Center, our recovery housing program offers more than a bed. It offers life skills classes, job training support, help with job applications, and access to medical care for people rebuilding their lives while attending outpatient treatment.

What does support look like at every stage of recovery?

At ABC Recovery Center, our Continuum of Care Recovery Program is built to meet people where they are, with individualized treatment planning, evidence based care, and ongoing support through detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient services, and recovery housing. We are proud to serve approximately 1,685 treatment episodes each year while helping people build stability, strengthen recovery, and stay connected to continuing care.

Since 1963, ABC Recovery Center has been part of the recovery landscape in the Coachella Valley.

As the oldest program of its kind in the region, we provide a full continuum of care for people with substance use disorders, including detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient services, and a perinatal program for pregnant and postpartum women. We are proud to serve our local community, with 95% of those we support coming from the Coachella Valley.

That work adds up. Each year, more than 200 people use our Detox Program, nearly 1,000 participate in Residential Treatment, and about 190 enroll in Outpatient Treatment. Our supportive sober housing has also helped more than 3,000 individuals build stability over time.

Something big has been happening in the Coachella Valley. 🏗️

Our brand new ABC Recovery Center campus is getting ready to open its doors, and we are deeply grateful to the community helping bring it to life. This new home for recovery represents expanded access to addiction treatment, a stronger foundation for our clients, and a legacy shaped by every person who believes this work matters. 💙
