Exciting news for 2024...Kala + Kali are back!

After a MUCH needed and unplanned 🫣 break we are coming back to our monthly Care for the Culture lives

The last year took us both for a loop and we had to practice what we preach so we took some time to recalibrate but we came into 2024 ready

Join us tomorrow at 11am PST for our 1st live of the year...we'll be checking in and talking new year goals and intentions

September 27-October 10, 2021

Planned & drove my very first roadtrip!

🚗Hit the road with after 3 years apart & drove from LA to Pheonix

💆🏽‍♀️Stopped in Palm Springs for a much needed spa day

✨Spent a day digging for crystals at Kofa National Wildlife Refuge

👙Enjoyed a long weekend chillin by the pool in Scottsdale for my cousin bday

💕Then took an impromptu solo drive to Vegas to meet up with my parents a surprise my sister before coming home

I've been on many roadtrips, but I usually leave the planning & driving to my dad. He's really good at that but I had to try it out for myself

Another amazing 2 weeks away left me with increased self awareness, a boost in creativity, and the joy and warmth of time with people I love

I'm back in LA & TRYING to keep my butt home til December...we'll see what happens🙃

July 2021...this week I did a thing! My little organization is officially expanding!

Never did I imagine I'd be hiring folks at this stage but here we are

Excited about this event with on Sunday! We'll be getting into a restorative yoga practice & talking about how trauma can be impact the body.

Event is free & its my last event til Fall...I'm decreasing my availability so I can enjoy this Summer

I can't count how many times I've given some version of this workshop to organizations in the last year

Truthfully I should probably start each one with "s**t idk either...we all in this together"😩

In this workshop we identify current areas of stress & explore how stress manifests in our individual bodies, minds, & spirits

I give tips for activities that can be helpful & I demonstrate one tool that's great for minimizing stress

I always close with a reminder to be gentle with themselves & acknowledge that their experiences are a normal reaction to abnormal situations

It never seems like enough

I'm always left feeling like it missed the mark because I know it is our environment that really needs to be managed not our pain, fear & anger towards the environment

But it's my contribution & I can only hope it provides some relief

Be gentle with yourselves! You're doing just fine 💙

Affirm that you deserve Love

Love that is exchanged equally between hearts
Love that is not self sacrificing
Love that is not exhausting
Love that sees the pain behind your eyes
Love that is fulfilling
Love that reminds you of your value
Love that does not leave you feeling used
Love that stands by you when you feel alone
Love that stays up with you when your mental & emotional keeps you up at night
Love that hears you even when you do not want to speak
Love that helps to lessen your workload
Love that is unconditional like that of children
Love that is infinite & beyond any stretch of the imagination
Love that reminds you you're alive & to keep living
Love that does not "need" you
Love that listens with an open heart
Love that lends a hand
Love that serves you as you serve others
Love that creates space for your wholeness
Love that reminds you to love yourself
Love that covers you in all the ways you deserve to be covered
Love that honors your journey to heal
Love that protects you in all the ways you should be protected

Love is among the highest of gestures. Make sure its what you chose to give...make sure it's what you demand

May you come to find Love within. May you come to know Love as forever
