If you have a girl age 8-12 in your family you probably know how hard things can be for them some days, and we want to provide a space for them to feel supported.

Throughout our 6-week Sage Confidence Project, we'll be exploring activities like this that help girls focus on who they are—not what they look like.

Together, we'll build confidence, self-awareness, resilience, kindness, and learn to recognize the qualities that make each of us who we truly are.

We start July 7th 10:30-11:15.

Please message us to register or with any questions!

Happy Fathers day to all the fathers in our community and to all! We hope you had a day filled with love and joy💚

I debated posting this, however I decided that this moment in our strength and balance class was to good not to share( Don't worry I got permission first from these members😉)

We are pretty serious in here about movement but sometimes I give my classes a tool to use and they have other things in mind. 🤣🤣

Laughter is so good for the soul! This community feels safe enough with one another to be their trues selves, and that is something to be treasured!

Happy Friday!

Here is your exercise of the week!

A push up- another fan favorite😉

Push-ups are one of the best functional exercises because they strengthen multiple muscle groups at the same time while challenging your core stability.

There isn't just one way to do them, We like to think of them as levels.

Here are a few tips no matter what level you decide to use!

💚 Hands slightly wider than shoulders( think of them as being 45 degrees or the shape of a arrow)
💚 Keep your neck neutral
💚 Brace your core the entire time
💚 Body moves as one line
💚 Lower your chest toward your hands
💚 Inhale down and Exhale as you push away

In this video, you'll see four different levels of the same exercise. Each variation has value.
The goal isn't to do the hardest version—it's to choose the version that allows you to move well, build strength, and progress over time.

At Sage Studio, we believe movement should meet you where you are while helping you grow stronger for where you want to go.

Did you know that the upper body has more individualized movement patterns and muscle groups to train?

👉We push, pull, press, row, lift, carry, reach, and rotate. Each of these movements challenges different muscles in the shoulders, chest, back, and arms.

👉Our upper-body muscles tend to fatigue faster, and sometimes that makes it feel like
We are working our upper body more.

Most of us use our legs all day long. We walk, climb stairs, stand up, sit down, and move from place to place without much thought.

But how often are we regularly pushing, pulling, carrying, or lifting challenging loads with our upper body?

For many people, not very often.
Because those muscles aren't being challenged as frequently in everyday life, they often feel tired sooner during exercise.
And that's exactly why we train them.

Strong upper-body muscles help us:
💚 Carry groceries
💚 Lift laundry baskets
💚 Reach into overhead cabinets
💚 Push ourselves up from the floor
💚 Pick up children and grandchildren
💚 Maintain better posture
💚 Continue doing everyday tasks independently as we age

Strong legs help us move through the world. Strong upper bodies help us interact with it.
Both matter. Both deserve attention. And together they help us stay capable, confident, and independent for years to come. 💚

Pull up a chair. Join us.💚

If you've ever wondered what it's like inside Sage Studio, let me tell you....

I walked through these doors years ago completely terrified of the unknown. I was in my early 40s, unsure of what to expect, wondering if I would fit in.

Today, I have the privilege of carrying forward the vision of a woman who built something truly special. And while I may be the one " in charge" now, the truth is that these women continue to teach me every single day.

I've learned that strength doesn't have an age limit.

I've watched women in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s show up with courage, resilience, determination, and grace. They've taught me that strength isn't about how much weight you lift or what size you wear. It's about continuing to show up for yourself, even when life gets hard.

At Sage, you'll find women from all walks of life and all seasons of life. There is no intimidation here. No competition.
Just inspiration.

They cheer for each other. They celebrate victories big and small. They offer encouragement when someone is struggling and remind one another that progress doesn't have an expiration date.

I often look around the room and think, "I hope I'm still showing up like that someday."

Because what these women have shown me is that becoming the best version of yourself doesn't stop at 40, 50, 60, 70, or even 90.

It never stops.

We're all here for the same reason: to keep growing, keep learning, keep moving, and keep becoming.

Pull up a chair. We'd love to save you a seat💚

Exercise of the week! 💚💪

SIT-TO-STAND

One of the most important exercise you can do for yourself no matter your age or level!

➡️Sit tall in a chair- a taller one if need be.
➡️Stand up without using your hands
➡️Slowly sit back down

🧠🧠Think about:
➡️Feet hip width apart
➡️Chest tall, eyes forward
➡️Hinge slightly froward from the hips
➡️Push through the entire foot
➡️Push hips back to sit
➡️Control the descent down

Do 8-12 reps, 2-3 times with rest in between.

Have a exercise you are curious about let us know in the comment ⬇️ section!
