September is Su***de Prevention & Awareness Month, and as the month comes to a close, we’re wearing purple and teal to help keep the conversation going.

💜 Purple represents su***de prevention and awareness.

🩵 Teal represents mental health awareness.

Together, these colors are a reminder that mental health matters, awareness matters, and reaching out matters.

Tomorrow, we’re encouraging our staff and community to wear purple, teal or both to help raise awareness, reduce stigma and show support for those who may be struggling.

Let’s keep looking out for one another, not just in September, but all year long.

Today we remember 9/11.

On this day, we honor the lives lost, the survivors, the families forever changed, and the countless first responders and helpers who showed immense courage. For those who lived through it, the memories can feel vivid and heavy. For younger generations, 9/11 may only be something they learn about in school or books, but the impact continues to ripple through communities and history.

Grief, remembrance, and resilience can all coexist. It’s okay if today brings up strong emotions, even years later. Give yourself space to feel. Whether through quiet reflection, sharing stories, or practicing grounding techniques like mindful breathing, honoring your emotions is part of healing. If today feels overwhelming, reach out to someone you trust or take a break from media coverage to protect your mental well-being.💚

💜 Su***de Prevention Day

Today is a reminder that you matter, your story matters, and you don’t have to face difficult moments alone.

Su***de prevention starts with connection. It can be as simple as checking in with someone, listening without judgment, or letting a person know that support is available.

If you’re struggling, you don’t have to wait until things feel unbearable to reach out. Talking with someone can be the first step toward feeling a little less alone.

Here are a few ways we can all help:

💜Check in on someone you care about.
💜Listen with compassion and without judgment.
💜Take changes in someone’s mood or behavior seriously.
💜Encourage professional support when someone is struggling.
💜Remember that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Need support? Call or text 988 to reach the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7. Our Mobile Crisis Response Team is available even on holidays, weekends, and overnights. You can also reach out to a trusted person, mental health professional, or give us a call at 218-283-3406.

You are not a burden. You are not alone. There is help, and there is hope. 💜

Happy Labor Day! Labor Day reminds us that rest is not a reward, but a necessity. Our work, paid or unpaid, physical or emotional, takes energy. Taking time to pause and refill our cup protects our mental health and prevents burnout.

In honor of Labor Day, our office will be closed today as our team takes time to rest and recharge. We’ll reopen tomorrow and look forward to connecting with you then. If you need immediate support, please contact our crisis team at 988.

Wishing everyone a safe and restful day, you deserve it!

The school year has officially begun, at least for some. This time of year can be as stressful as it is exciting. Be mindful that as students return to the school routine, it may take a week or two for kids and families to fully adjust. It's okay, give your kids and yourselves a little bit of grace as everyone gets used to the new routine. If things don't settle down and you're concerned about your little ones, we are here.

Gentle reminder, our Crisis Response Team does work with kids as well if needed.
