Our residents made these beautiful autumn decorations with tissue paper, plastic jars, leaf cut outs, and frameless candles. They did a wonderful job!

Our residents loved meeting their two miniature horses (Toffee and Lady D) and bunny (Sprinkles). It was such a sweet way to spread joy! 💕🐇🐴

August Spirit Week at Woodlyn Heights! 🥳

Monday-National Thrift Shop Day! 👚👖👕
Staff and residents dressed in their craziest thrift shop clothes and stated a donation bin for Union Gospel Mission Homeless Shelter. (We will have the bin out by our front desk until this Thursday. Feel free to drop off clothing donations if you’d like! 🙂)

Tuesday-National Keep Your Cool Day! 🏝️🎈
Staff and residents enjoyed a cool treat after the staff were pelted with water balloons by our residents.

Wednesday-National Little League Day! ⚾️🧢
Staff and residents dressed in baseball themed outfits and staff enjoyed a little league snack.

Thursday-National Snow White Day! 🍎👸
Staff enjoyed a Snow White drink (Shirley Temple with vanilla ice cream) and dressed up as Snow White characters.

Friday-National “Catch of the Day” Day! 🎣🐠
Staff and residents dressed in fishing gear. Staff enjoyed a fishy snack and our residents enjoyed fish for lunch.

Monday-National Moon Day! 🌙 Residents and staff dressed in black, silver, gray, or galaxy print. We had a special visitor (ET), watched ET, and staff received freeze dried candies!

Tuesday-National Junk Food Day!🍪🍟 Staff and residents dressed as “couch potatoes” and staff received chips.

Wednesday-Movie Day! 🎥🍿
Residents and staff dressed in clothes related to their favorite movie. Staff received popcorn.

Thursday- National Lemon Day! 🍋
Staff and residents wore yellow and enjoyed a visit from the ice cream truck! Staff also enjoyed a fizzy lemonade. 😊

Friday-National Pajama Party Day! ✨ Staff and residents wore their favorite pajamas.
