๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿฉต The Reach Out Anyway Challenge is here! ๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿ’œ

September is Su***de Prevention Month, an opportunity to bring prevention into everyday conversations, raise awareness of how we can support one another, and remind our communities that reaching out can make a difference.

This year, weโ€™re focusing on the power of simply showing up for one another. You donโ€™t need the perfect words or a big gesture to make a difference. Check in. Include someone. Show kindness. Reach out anyway.

๐ŸŽ‰ Join us by taking the Reach Out Anyway Challenge! Complete a BINGO, try a few squares, or challenge yourself to complete the whole card throughout September.

Small actions add up. Letโ€™s see how much kindness and connection we can spread this month. ๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿ’œ

September is Recovery Month, a time to celebrate the strength, resilience, and hope found in recovery, while raising awareness that recovery is possible. ๐Ÿ’œ

Recovery doesnโ€™t look the same for everyone, and neither does treatment. It may mean asking for help, beginning treatment, rebuilding relationships, finding support, or simply choosing to keep moving forward.

There is no single path to recovery, and every step matters.

Throughout Recovery Month, weโ€™re celebrating the many paths people take toward healthier lives, challenging stigma, and helping to create communities where reaching out for support is met with understanding rather than judgment.

There is help. There is hope. And no one has to walk the road to recovery alone. ๐Ÿ’š

You matter here. In our communities. In your family. To your friends. To people you may not even realize are rooting for you. ๐Ÿ’™

Sometimes a simple reminder can make a difference: you are needed, you are valued, and you matter.

Reach out. Check in. Be there. And remember, you don't have to carry a heavy moment alone.

When the call comes in, we go. โค๏ธ

A crisis can happen anywhere, at any time. When someone reaches out for help, our Crisis Team is ready to meet them where they are by listening without judgment, providing support, connecting them with resources, and reminding them that they donโ€™t have to face a difficult moment alone.

From the moment the phone rings to the moment we walk away, every call is about one thing: making sure people know they are seen, supported, and not alone.

This is what showing up looks like.
This is what hope in action looks like.
This is our Crisis Team. โค๏ธ

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, call the SEKMHC Crisis Line at 866-973-2241, available 24/7.

What if we stopped waiting for the perfect moment to check in?

What if โ€œHowโ€™s it going?โ€ turned into a real conversation?

What if sitting beside someone, listening, and staying a little longer was exactly what they needed?

You donโ€™t have to have the right words. You donโ€™t have to solve anything. Sometimes, showing up and being willing to listen is where it starts.

Every conversation matters. Start one. ๐Ÿ’š

If you or someone you know needs additional support, call SEKMHC at 866-973-2241 or visit sekmhc.org.
