💊 Have you recently noticed a change in the amount you pay for a prescription?
Prescription prices can change for several reasons, and we understand how confusing it can be when the amount differs from a previous fill.
We created this six-part patient education guide to explain:
• What recently changed in Kansas
• How prescription claims are processed
• What Iola Pharmacy can check
• Who can explain your specific insurance benefits
One important clarification: Iola Pharmacy did not independently add $10.50 at the register. When a prescription is processed through insurance, your health plan returns the patient-pay amount that the pharmacy must collect. We cannot independently change, discount or waive that amount.
Please tap or swipe through the images in numbered order, 1–6.
If your amount has changed, we are happy to recheck the claim for accuracy and explain the claim information available to us. For the specific reason your amount was calculated, your health plan’s Member Services department will have the complete benefit details.
We hope this guide provides some helpful answers. Please feel free to save or share this post with someone who may find it useful.
