The AYA Team had a wonderful time attending Camp Kesem visitors day! Camp Kesem provides a supportive and fun environment for children impacted by a parent’s cancer, creating lasting memories, friendships, and connections. We are grateful for the opportunity to spend some time with the campers and witness the positive impact of this program. Thank you to the Camp Kesem counselors and volunteers for welcoming us. We love our new friendship bracelets and will treasure them as a reminder of this wonderful day!

Our Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) cancer patients and their families enjoyed a fun-filled outing to the countryside of Barn Lot Putt Putt in Kalona, Iowa. Laughter, friendly competition, and connection were on full display during a round of putt-putt golf. From hole-in-ones to unforgettable moments with family and friends, the evening provided a chance to step away and simply enjoy being together. These special experiences remind us of the importance of community, support, and creating joyful memories along the cancer journey.

Our AYA (Adolescent & Young Adult) cancer patients recently spent time at The Big Picture for a painting workshop—and the results were nothing short of inspiring. 🖌️✨ From bold brushstrokes to meaningful moments, this experience offered more than just art. It created space to express, connect, and simply be—together. Laughter filled the room, stories were shared, and each canvas became a reflection of resilience and creativity.

We invite everyone who is interested in Camp Kesem to an informational Zoom on May 18th. Camp Kesem is a FREE camp for kiddos ages 6 - 18 whose parent has cancer. Join us Monday night via Zoom to learn more and ask questions. Even if you don’t think Kesem Camp is something you want to try, we urge you to hop on the Zoom anyway and get a feel for what we offer, who is eligible, and how to enroll and experience the Kesem magic!
