The AYA Team had a wonderful time attending Camp Kesem visitors day! Camp Kesem provides a supportive and fun environment for children impacted by a parent’s cancer, creating lasting memories, friendships, and connections. We are grateful for the opportunity to spend some time with the campers and witness the positive impact of this program. Thank you to the Camp Kesem counselors and volunteers for welcoming us. We love our new friendship bracelets and will treasure them as a reminder of this wonderful day!

Our Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) cancer patients and their families enjoyed a fun-filled outing to the countryside of Barn Lot Putt Putt in Kalona, Iowa. Laughter, friendly competition, and connection were on full display during a round of putt-putt golf. From hole-in-ones to unforgettable moments with family and friends, the evening provided a chance to step away and simply enjoy being together. These special experiences remind us of the importance of community, support, and creating joyful memories along the cancer journey.

Learning something new, building community, and having a little fun along the way 🎾 Our Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) cancer patients recently hit the courts for a pickleball social—where many learned the game for the first time and all enjoyed time together. Moments like these remind us that connection and joy are just as important as care.

Our AYA (Adolescent & Young Adult) cancer patients recently spent time at The Big Picture for a painting workshop—and the results were nothing short of inspiring. 🖌️✨ From bold brushstrokes to meaningful moments, this experience offered more than just art. It created space to express, connect, and simply be—together. Laughter filled the room, stories were shared, and each canvas became a reflection of resilience and creativity.

A day of strength, joy, and unforgettable moments! Our adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer patients and their families experienced the magic of Kinnick Stadium—touring behind the scenes, meeting Herky, connecting with Hawkeye players, and even taking the field. Moments like these remind us how powerful hope, resilience, and community can be. 🖤💛 Go Hawks!

Because of the incredible support from donors, cancer patients had the unforgettable chance to attend an Iowa Hawkeyes football game. These experiences go far beyond a fun outing. They provide connection, support, and a sense of normalcy during a challenging time in the AYA cancer journey. And they happen because people like you choose to give. If you want to help create more opportunities like this — more smiles, more strength, more memories — consider supporting our AYA patients today. Your gift truly makes a difference.

“The gift cards made our Christmas a little more magical for our 9-month-old and almost 3-year-old. I’m living with stage IV breast cancer, diagnosed when my youngest was just 6 months old, and the cost of treatment adds up quickly. Thank you to everyone who donates. Your support brings real joy to families like ours and helps our kids feel the magic of Christmas.” Today is , the University of Iowa’s 24-hour online day of giving! Every gift helps us continue supporting patients and families. Give today: https://1dayforiowa.org/ayacp26
